Duha Color Services was a Paint Color card manufacturing Company

I started on the bottom but moved up very quickly to Manager.

This company had a educational incentives and paid your tuition if you received 75% or higher on all courses. I took advantage of this had received my diplomas in Human Resources and Corporate Management. 

There were 3 offices in Manitoba I was moved up to the 1 plant to Manage and assure that all deadlines were met. This one office was Unionized and was a bit out of control . I was there to clean house of the employees that were not following the rules. Once we had that done the operation ran smoothly.

I was then moved to the Head office where I learned more on the recruitment side and Human Resources and Payroll.

I enjoyed my work at this company and only left when opportunity came for my Husband in Alberta.

A typical day at work is very busy and joggling from one job to another which is sometimes hard to cope specially if different jobs are highly critical. I have learned so much in this company specially how production it handle production planning on matching paint color on coated paper and printing to custom jobs. Overall management has been trying to be supportive of its employee in different ways, what it lacks is proper salary compensation specially the work load given to an employee. 

The hardest part of the job is joggling from one work to another and with the continuous change in procedures it is difficult to remember how the jobs flow.

The most enjoyable part is I can adjust the time I come to work and leaving from work, I can come early and leave early as long as I complete my 8 hrs a day minimum working hours requirement by the company.

Duha has many areas to gain experience and move around however the pay has always been 
very low. There are many great people working there but also many who were two faced and would stab you in the back as well like any large organization. The constant smell of paint fumes can get to some people but you get used to it. I do have good memories during my days at Duha but truth be told they are one cheap company especially to the minions on the bottom end.  

Depending on the department, your overall experience may vary. The strong smell of paint and solvents may affect you if you perform entry-level duties on the floor. I recommend it for newcomers as the company is well-organized, well-structured, and has a very high work culture. You can meet nice people and achieve new goals.

Very good lot of people we can talk about and still get the work done

I learned it doesn't matter how hard you work, favoritism out-ways skills. Horrible HR covering for bad/uncaring upper management. Employees in general were nice before the transition to immigrants.(uranium,Indian)  

- Packaging of finished to be filed in pallets and transfers it to shipping division using pallet jacks.

- I've learned on how to be a leader.

- We have a good workplace.open communication that results in good flow of production.

- Everyone is helping and contributing.

Worked there for 20 years as a lab tech, then they turned on me and found anything they can and got me terminated, the supervisors got where they are because they will agree anything that J*** says, and will throw you under the bus, Used to be a fun company, but it's like working in a bad environment, if you think your gonna move up think again.

Do not work here. The management has created a racial bias in every department. If the new hire is not the same ethnicity of the majority employees, that new hire is not trained and is isolated and ignored by the staff. The management pretends it doesn’t happen, although have been dealing with it since 2018.

Amazing place to work, flexible and human.
Very accommodating and safety conscious .
They care about employee improvement and engagement.
Lots of benefits included as well as fun events for staff.
