Dunkin

My first job was at Dunkin Donuts and it was an eye opener.
It gave me experience in working outside of my country. I was introduced to the work environments of an unfamiliar country. I, however, quickly adapted and played my part in promoting the dunkins brand. At typical day at work started extremely early and ended mostly with late evenings. It involved handling customers directly while at the cashiers, station, handling food, stock taking, keeping a clean eveironment and keeping ones composure when in a stressful work environment. Though it was work experience which lasted a little over 3 months and not a full time job, it taught me alot. The management was overall ok. 
My co-workers were very welcoming and helpful when I seemed as if I was not on the right track. 
The hardest part of the job was the early hours which I had to be at work and ready to serve and the extra long hours which I had to work.
The most enjoyable part was the experience gained both on and off the job, just living on my own in a foreign country and the friends made while there.

Typical day at work began with a team meeting in order to get the best start on the day is to know where the last crew left off.
Then follow up on the previous shifts paper work for proper sanitation effectiveness and to insure we as a company meet the H.A.C.C.P requirements to start production. Management was definitely a part of the team there, if we need an extra body on the floor they were their even though there work load was compounding every minute of the hour. The hardest part of the job was the amount of paper work there was in order to end production, and start production
Since H.A.C.C.P was fairly new to the company they were in the process of eliminating paper work. Furthermore the place itself was a dream job, its hard to explain how it was so enjoyable, but to say I loved working there from the first day I walk in, we made ice cream...

You wake up early to beat to help serve the rush of coffee lovers. They are grumpy mostly, but you try your best to serve them as fast as possible. I get their orders right and if people need help making the orders and getting their doughnuts. This happened until 10am when the breakfast rush ended, however shortly after that the lunch rush began and the process repeated all over again.
I learn to act more professionally even when under stress.
The management was great, they taught me how to run the machines and how to properly prepare all of the foods and drinks. 
The management and co-workers were great.
The hardest part of the job is serving customers who are giving you a hard time and trying to push other offers that are not offered at your store. But at the end you still have to be polite and wish them a good day. 
I enjoyed learning new things and it really opened my eyes to the reality of the world.

Shift work with various different jobs with room for advancment. Everyday brought new flavours and various cleaning duties always keeping you learning new things. I learned about food management, saftey, sanitation, team work and tons of other valuable life skills. A great group of people from the management all the way down. Worked together as a team all trying to get to the same goal. hardest part of the job was sometimes having to wait on material or product due to the distance they had to come but thats when we came together as a unit to change schedules and create a backup plan. The best part of the job was the staff and constantly learning new and interesting things about the food and manufacturing industries

A typical day of work in dunkin donuts is, in morning shift, your receive the delivery of donuts also delivery of raw materials and preparing all the things needed and in the afternoon shift, checking all the endorsements and preparing all the needed documents to be filed and send. I've learned a lot in terms of ordering and organizing of stocks and how to achieve the targets to get excellent results. The management is very helpful to me because I learned a lot and my co-workers are very cooperative in terms of work. The hardest part of the job is not achieving the targets and also competitions but it still enjoyable if you reach or achieve the targets despite of not achieving it on previous months.

At Baskin Robbins, I would receive stock from trucks outside and bring them into the storage room of the store where I would organize them. This job taught me about punctuality, where everything must be done precisely and on time. The manager was very nice and understanding, giving me the opportunity to learn and grow from my mistakes. My coworkers were extremely friendly and positive, as we all grew and learned together as a unit. The hardest part of the job was the heavy and strenuous lifting which often caused muscle pain and aches. The most enjoyable part of the job was the look of satisfaction on the faces of customers that were happy with the ice cream they had purchased.

The job itself is not a bad one, however my personal experience was not a good one due to my boss - the store owner. Friendly customers, great co-workers, terrible management. Unwilling to work around employees schedules, uses intimidation, none understanding and shows no compassion to employees. Threatening, selfish, never rewards only punishes, never gives positive feedback; only negative. Overall learned a lot about people working at this establishment, in positive and negative ways. Learned how to deal with unprofessional bosses and to take all the negative and turn it into a positive!

If I could put no stars for all of the categories mentioned, I would! Horrible place to work, higher managers treat you like a number (when they even acknowledge your presence) no good deed goes unpunished and there is no work-life balance whatsoever. No incentives anymore (used to be 1 free drink per shift or 2 free drinks if you'd done a 12 hour shift) don't even get that anymore! Just a 25% discount which doesnt knock much price off the sky high prices they set. 6 WEEKS NOTICE for ONE day off and still doesn't get approved. Ridiculous staff turnover and the managers are to blame. 

A typical day at work consisted of me assisting in closing or opening the store depending on which shift I was given. This was my first experience with P.O.S and register systems, so I learned how to use them and operated the cash register. My co-workers  were all enthusiastic, young team members who were very friendly and hardworking. The most enjoyable part of the job was being in such an upbeat, colorful and fun environment and working with friendly people. The hardest part of the job was standing for many hours on summer days where lines were out the door of our store.

I came in the mornings and started to prepare to open the restaurant. I prepared and served orders, worked the cash, cleaned when necessary and restocked food so that food was fresh and available.
I also came into work during the night shift and closed the store and cleaned the restaurant to prep it ready to go for the next day for opening. Co-workers were determined, reliable and friendly. The hardest part of the job would have been the long periods of time on my feet. The most enjoyable part for me would have been preparing the food for our customers and greeting them.
