Legally, you are to receive a 30 minute break for every 5 hours of work you do. At DuraLine, you will work 12 hour rotating shifts with one 30 minute lunch break. Office workers work less hours than line workers and receive a one hour lunch break. There is also absolutely no regard for COVID regulations put in by the government. The office workers do not wear masks and neither do 75% of the floor employees. The managers do not enforce wearing it as they don’t wear them either. All of the COVID papers and guidelines handed out are dated from 2020.

The work culture is terrible; people are unhappy. They tell you all through your hiring and training process that they are having staffing issues, when they will not pay enough for the extremely taxing work being done, or let their employees have the bare minimum of break time. Because of the lack of staff, the job is needlessly fast paced and people are not being trained properly. There needs to be a serious overhaul of management here for this to be considered a worthwhile place to work.

My experience working here was disappointing overall. The workplace culture felt very negative, and it often seemed like management was more focused on catching employees doing something wrong than supporting them to do their jobs well. Communication from supervisors came across as disrespectful at times, and there didn’t seem to be much effort put into leadership or team morale.
There was also a noticeable inconsistency in how rules were enforced — some employees were allowed to ignore policies while others were singled out. That created frustration and made the environment feel unfair.
Another major issue for me was that the actual work I was assigned didn’t match the role I applied for. I was expecting to develop skills in one area but was regularly placed elsewhere without clear explanation.
Overall, it wasn’t a supportive or well-managed environment in my experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to someone looking for strong leadership and consistent standards.

First few months are hard if you're not used to shift work your sleep schedule will get all messed up. the automated machines are easy to pick up the manual reels can be more difficult to get the hang of the management and supervisors expect you to be able to do everything to the same extent as people who have been working there for years on your first week and if you aren't or learn a bit slower then others expect to be screamed at ridiculed and and called names, don't bother going to HR about it either because they don't care and if they did they wouldn't do anything.

The benefits are great, and we're still working even now when business is slow.

If your a line operator your job can be stressful if things are not working right or a manager.

Safty first your can get hurt if you not watching, and the culture is mix of men, women, black and cream

I'm the industrial plate cleaner, cleaning Washrooms offices, garbages, and scrubbing and clean the mine floors.

There's always something new to learn, which leads to learning lessons you can you in all parts of life.

The people, dangers of the environment it self.

It can be stressful alot, fun and motivating. There is all kind of culture within the company.

Lot of bending, lifting, being on your feet having to be a quick thinker at times.

Management works for them self not the employees

Poisoning, unfriendly and stressful. Employees are under appciated by management. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long periods of standing. Lack of proper training for the jobs you are expected to complete. 12 hour shifts with work share coverage for lack of hours available to work due to work shortage.

Great place to work how's the great work environment everybody is friendly and easy to get along with there's lots of opportunities to move up in the company if you're interested also has a great work-home balance you only work 7 out of 14 days the 12 hour shifts might sound intimidating at first but it's not very labor-intensive work for the most part like anything's some days are easier some days are harder but all around great place to work

Their rate of pay is above average for the area.

When things slowdown in the winter.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There isn't a typical day. Each day is different.

Safety is not a priority only production counts. The management talks the talk, but that is about all they do.  No people skills from production management, a disaster waiting to happen.  Ideas are shot down on the spot but they will use your idea a few months later managers will then take the credit. A sad sad situation for such a large company.
