Dutch industries is a fast paced environment with great opportunities for cross-training, allowing new and veteran employees the ability to find where they fit and excel in their positions. I have worked at Dutch for over a year now and have aquired a multitude of knowledge in different areas of manufacturing which I believe will make me a more desirable employee to any industrial organizations should I ever find I no longer fit. The Dutch industries slogan and quality policy statement is "quality for generations", but make no mistake, Dutch puts the employees first.

High employee turnover and lack of proper training for new employees. Overall poorly managed company and workers are treated like garbage. Constantly changing priorities/deadlines which makes it difficult to get any amount of work done. Pay is below industry averages. It’s really unfortunate because coworkers are good and at the end of the day the employees hammer out good quality products.

Great management,impressive strides in production.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Weather, other then that ,objections to many meetings by finishing staff.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Do your job well ,customers matter.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Always work to do,time goes by quickly.

This firm has weathered the storm of being through some challenging times over it’s long history.

The company is conservative when it comes to investing in new techniques and new technology. 

There is a strong team feeling in the work environment and there are many long time staff. 

No one takes responsibility in the upper management. Everything gets put on the workers.I would have loved to work there, I was making great progress making the department run efficiently. But they started taking credit for my ideas and making changes to the plans and that made everything horribly impossible to work there.

Low moral throughout the company. Poor communication. Poor organization. Top-down management style. Constant disruptions to work plans with no support to get back on-track. Little follow through on promises made.




Dutch Industries is a good place to work. The pay ok but not great. They often accommodate job transitions if not satisfied with current positions and willing to pay for training in trades to help you and themselves keep employees

dutch was a nice great shop to weld in, and the staff were outstanding group of guys. my days at dutch were grat when i was there for the diffrent projects I had to complete on my on tack adn skill i learned and gain from my welding course. Put me to good use and work ship was quality and productive with every time spend at the shop.

Excellent and hard workers in the shop. I learnt the Canadian culture, the expectations of internal and external customers. I am doing 12 to 14 hours per day because of a poor planning system and irrealistic deadline, 100% rush works. Employees are suffering about a daily pressure during busy period (January to end of May).

The work itself is fine fast paced and not overly difficult but the supervisors have no idea what they are doing and freak out and treat employees like absolute garbage. I've never worked in a place that treats their employees this bad. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work there.
