Worked there for 8 years. 6 years same position . First time asking for a raise gets denied.  I worked on my sick days and on all stat holiday.  Got treated like garbage or threaten negative actions if you are sick. You get payed by the product the crew movies.  They can’t keep employees so they hire temp workers. They pay the temp company. 280$ a day per temp out of the crews pay for the day. Instead of paying them out of the company’s pocket.  They make the people who show up for work pay for there lack of ability to keep employees.   They also offer 50 bucks a week to become a lead hand. You expected to do superior duties and work every Saturday.  Do to them only offer thing a small amount . No one thinks it’s worth it and they have been with out a lead hand at the GFS Edmonton site for a year.  They are lucky when make just over minimum wage most days. Even tho they advertise a much higher salary. They don’t say that’s it’s only potentially that high but never actually makes it there. Shady company and wouldn’t work here unless you are desperate.  


What is the best part of working at the company?
Management Team is great to work with. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unscheduled trailers that arrive late unexpectedly and the customer expecting Eclipse employees having to wait to see if they will even show up. Which in most cases, do not arrive at all and in turn reduces employee profitability and opportunity to make more money. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
My worst experience was a customer whose warehouse Supervisor was creating a hostile workplace environment. At this particular location, Eclipse had gone through seven Supervisors because of this one  individual. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Early to work and late to leave.

Arriving at job before 630 in the morning, prepare my machine for the day making sure its plugged in and charging. When the day starts you are given throughout the day when trucks are docked what needs to be unloaded from that truck into the warehouse.
I learned how to read purchase orders for sysco as to every purchase order is different for each company.
the coworkers i worked with was a good team and we all worked very well together to get the day done as fast as we could because as soon as the day po for all thhe trucks coming in for the day was done we could go home.
there was no hard part of the job for me because i love physical work.
and the most enjoyable part of the job for me was driving the machines.

I am working with eclipse for over 2 years now and nothing has changed for the better with this company no benefits and hard work like that's just stupid not to have benefits for your workers. Also having problems with supervisors thinking they can push someone to quit or harass fellow employees about non work stuff such as health family and friends.. talk about a joke and it's not worth all the stress this job gives me it's effecting my life around work and outside.

The company works off of a piece count pay system meaning the more product you move, the more you get paid. The idea is good but the system is broken because everyone has to split the pay equally regardless of if you move more or less product than your co-workers. In my experience, this system is counter-productive and makes people want to always work less because they know they won't get paid any differently

This company should hire accurate supervisors who won't screw people around. The company should be honest when letting someone go.You work your butt off and then shafted watching others all day just stand around doing nothing well you do all the work - that is if your a hard worker. Be one of the supervisor's friends and you don't have to do any work - stand around text all day if you want well the hard workers load those trucks. Then end up getting shafted even out of EI benefits.

Very friendly staff. I've met many awesome people, and have a lot of good memories from this job. The job's entirely physical and working fast is a must, so it's definitely not for everyone. Most of the boxes aren't heavy, but some will be. We get payed based off of how many boxes the team touches per day. Usually great pay, as long as you have a good team, and the warehouse is busy. The supervisors and bosses are very nice, and all the employees tend to help each other out.

Incentive is group based which means if others can't keep up you're rate goes down. They make no mention of what the actual incentive is so if productivity and the rate gets too high they'll just lower the rate whenever they feel like it. Management is poor and has very little knowledge of how things work on the floor. New hires get no proper training on how to do the job effectively. No benefits, pensions, etc.

Eclipse running a slave trade high expectation for Zero dollars. This company only makes false promises. One of the biggest catch is the fake incentive that you will never receive. Its all lies! I worked for them at goreway/Queen. The supervisor is very lazy and doesn't even help all he good at is going on long washroom breaks and falling asleep on the job. Bunch of thieves!!!! run fast!!

When I worked there it was good but make sure your a physically active person because it’s repetitive lifting.I also liked how the people were really friendly and would like to get to know you just as the manager made sure you get your lunch breaks and see how your doing through the day.
