The staff there are great and very cooperative 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Come in at start of shift, perform my duties and go for a break.

Assessments of residents on admission, quarterly, and annual reviews. 
Administrative and Clinical roles.
Hiring and retention of unit staff.
Performance Evals.
Resident and family issues (lots of them)!
Fun staff.
Downtown location.
Works weekdays, no evenings and night shifts, no work on weekends and holidays.

The staff were very caring and kind toward the elderly, clean. Able to learn from them by taking the time to listen to their stories. Staff doesn't treat the elderly like they are fragile and useless but treat them the same way they want to be treated. Overall a great place to volunteer.

What I have learned working here during my practicum was how easily one gets attached to residents. Very nice people who are grateful for human contact and crave kindness. I was amazed how lovely were those we cared for. I have learned a lot from them and forever be grateful for the opportunity.

I worked with Covenant Health since 2011 until 2019. It been a pleasure to joined and worked with covenant Health. Administration staff and supervisor are very supportive. Positive and safe working environment. Multiples in services and learning opportunities provide to employees.

Im a casual nurse at the General, and i find that the day goes by so fast because throughout the day you have to be productive to get work done. most of the time is giving out medications but also assessing them before giving out any medications that might cause harm to the resident's overall health.

Great colleagues, and work culture.  The management is also good and clear about their communication.  It is a very great place to work. I would recommend this place anybody who is trying to set themselves up for their life.

Edmonton General provides a good insurance benefits. In the unit that i am working, we practice teamwork which makes our service efficient. Respect between residents and staff is always observed.

I only volunteered here but I always looked forward to it and it felt very rewarding being able to provide some happiness to senior citizens. If I am able to again, I would love to go back.
