The best part of the company is its product (definitely not the management, nor the culture). The product is innovative and has demand.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working at Engage Building Products is the unrealistic expectations placed on employees and departments by upper management.
Teams are often expected to maintain or even exceed previous performance levels despite having reduced manpower, limited support, and increasing workloads. Resources are frequently cut or stretched thin, yet expectations continue to rise without corresponding operational improvements or staffing adjustments.
This creates a constant high-pressure environment where employees are expected to “do more with less” on a continual basis. The issue is not isolated to one department either — concerns around workload, burnout, and unrealistic performance expectations have been commonly expressed across estimation, warehouse operations, order desk, and outside sales teams.
As a result, many employees feel overworked, undervalued, and set up to fail rather than being properly supported to succeed.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment and culture at Engage Building Products
 are, in my opinion, highly toxic and unstable. Employee turnover is extremely high, and there is no proper or independent HR department. HR responsibilities are effectively handled by an executive assistant to the CEO and VP, which creates little sense of neutrality or employee advocacy.

C-suite/executive management is often reactive, emotional, and impulsive in its decision-making. Many decisions appear to be made without proper planning, consistency, or long-term strategy, which likely contributes to the company still operating with a “startup mentality” despite being founded in 2009.

Job security is very poor. Employees can be terminated abruptly, and there is a general atmosphere of instability and fear within the organization.

Office politics are widespread, particularly within operations management, where internal politics often seem to take priority over leadership, team development, or operational improvement. There also appears to be ongoing tension and differences in opinion between operations management and executive leadership, and the relationship between the two groups often does not seem collaborative or aligned.

Constructive feedback and honest criticism are not genuinely welcomed. Employees who raise concerns or suggest improvements risk being labeled as “not a cultural fit” rather than being heard or taken seriously. Overall, the culture discourages transparency, open communication, and healthy professional disagreement.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day at Engage Building Products
 was usually very fast-paced, reactive, and heavily dependent on putting out operational “fires.”

There was also a strong pressure to maintain high output despite limited manpower and constant operational bottlenecks. Employees were generally expected to adapt quickly, multitask heavily, and resolve issues with minimal support or structure in place.

Communication between departments could sometimes be tense due to misalignment in expectations, staffing shortages, and ongoing operational pressure. Because processes and systems were still evolving, many tasks relied heavily on individual employees stepping in to troubleshoot and keep things moving manually.

Overall, the environment demanded resilience, adaptability, and the ability to handle stress and uncertainty on a daily basis.

I applied for a different position and was forced into Inside sales unit specialist. The company have zero respect for the hard working people. Back stabbing is normal . they fired me because i asked for raise and they said i wasn't fit. 1 month later they fired another girl who apparently wasnt fit either. VP is so rude keep bragging about his suits and lifestyle and be ready to see him take his
shoes off and put his legs on a the desk durring an official meeting. He has absolutely No Class none of them do. They eat like P..... s on their desks . Office smells gross all the time. my position was to help the sales reps close the deals. 90% of them are in USA. they kust made up my position because their sales team were nothing but failures. Whole buch of uneducated kids that dont know what they are doing. No one want to cooperate with you . everyone complains all the time. No one takes responsibility. No one knows what they are doing. They keep hiring and firing people. IF YOU HAVE A HEAD ON YOUR SHOULDER AND YOU ARE EDUCATED , RUN DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. NO BENEFIT, NO PENSION NOT A PROPER COMPENSATION, YOU WILL NEVER LEARN ANY SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE. OH AND YOUR HUMAN RESOURCES IS THE EXCUVE ASSISTANCE WHO FIGHTS YOU BASED ON WHAT SHE FINDS ON GOOGLE, NO HR EXPERIENCE OR EDUCATION . THE COMPANY IS A TOTAL FAIL. 


I worked at this company for almost half a year as a warehouse worker. They require you to do a set amount of bundles that are ready for you. 8 per day. Less than 8, the ‘management’ yells at you. The catch is that there is such a differing amount of pieces per bundle. Could be 1400 could be 800. Doesn’t matter 8 per day. If you stuck with 8 bundles that have 1400 pieces and you get 6 done (8400 pieces) , you get yelled at by the warehouse ‘manager’. If you get the bundles with 800 and you do 8 a day ( 6400 ) nothing happens. Sounds completely stupid ? You’re correct.  Plus the ‘manager’ has his Magic Fridays. This is when he randomly fires a co-worker, or you, on Friday. You have a 1/15 to 1/20 shot that its you.   Does this sound like a professional company that you want to work for ? It’s not. No one was happy there after they saw how employees were treated. It only takes about a month to see.

The environment is inviting at first , for about the first three months but expectations change drastically, management lacks in communication slowing down production , yet there is still an expectation for high quality work , even though orders and the work force is rushed last minute, employees have very little control over what they can and cannot voice to heads of departments

Just a non-stop onslaught of unprofessionalism in every manner you could imagine, and some you couldn't.

The arrogance and hubris, followed by an inability to learn from it, over and over and over, is laughable at best.


I liked working there because of their no-nonsense approach to business, and because my managers were open and honest with me. People like to complain about managers who speak the truth, but I for one appreciate it. How can we succeed if we’re left in the dark?
Anyway, if you’re willing to work hard and have a backbone, you’ll do well.

The management team are very welcoming and supportive when it comes to teaching staff about the job and helping out when needed.

I held off on writing a review for a while because I wanted to get a good feel for the company before saying anything, and after being here for more than a year I can honestly say that this is a great place to work! I could see myself working here for the next decade, if not longer.

Terrible place to work they fire most employee's after about 2 & a half months in order not to pay for more benefits than the core few employee's (supervisors & bosses) & they have no room for improvement or promotion it's essentially a scam of a company. 

Most of my colleagues were smart, hard working people. We were slightly competitive with each other, but in a friendly way. Everyone stayed focused on their work instead of getting involved with each other’s personal affairs. Managers were easily accessible.
