I have been with EVK for over 4 years as a DA (delivery associate) and I can honestly say that EVK is a very good DSP (Delivery Service Partner) to work for, they value the drivers and make sure safety is a priority. The management takes an active interest in what the drivers do by helping us load our vans. We get bonuses and raises too. Sometimes the routes can be very difficult, but on the off chance that a route is unmanageable we are sent rescues. We get to pick our schedule on a week over week basis, which I really like. I like being independent and being sent to areas which I would otherwise not have any reason being in. Every shift is an adventure! 

Dont work here unless youre desperate. They give you a rediculous amount of deliveries that youre apparently supposed to get done in 10 hours. You cant choose where you deliver next you must follow their gps which means sometimes you end up in sketchy parts of town at night or down snowy country roads in the dark. Gps will also take you to one street, then another street, then back to the street you were just on wasting so much of your time. They preach "safety" but expect you to keep delivering in the middle of a snow storm when roads are bad. In all my years of working for delivery companies this one was byfar the worst and most unsafe. Avoid if you can!

Dispatch do not bother you until you are doing your work at a steady Pace

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The amount of packages to deliver is high. Amazon and the dispatch expects you to deliver all the parcels yourself without any assistance. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The owner lady seems to be nice but at an end she needs to make money out of the company. If there is an issue with the dispatch team and you inform her, nothing is done. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Days are long and stressful and tiring

The transportation job has it challenges and rewards.    The winter months are challenging but you adjust your speed according to the weather conditions.   There is no expectation to go faster and if you go over your 10 hour shift,  you are paid.  The company always provides free coffee , hot chocolate.  Water bottles in the summer.     Often they give gift cards.  Many times there are snacks in the morning and sometimes Pizza when we return.    They have a games area (ping pong, basketball, video games)  if we want to stay after work to socialize

This company would schedule you for a full weeks worth of work, then, the day of, say that there is no work for you and to stay home without pay. This happens on a very regular basis. Very unsafe work with the routes they make you drive. Roads are closed or not meant for cars but they tell you to drive them anyway. They only care about the workers that have worked there for their entire lives and give nothing to the "new" people even if you've been there over a year. 

Basically its about delivering amazon packages.

-Flexible Availability 
-Independent Work ( basically no one will be there to boss you around like other workplaces as you will be delivering packages )
-Low weight packages
-Less stops in Winter and More stops in Summer
- Shifts are scheduled depending on the routes volume amazon have, so sometimes you have no work eventhough you are scheduled


Well the most enjoyable part is driving and providing customer service and interacting with people. Personally I love driving so this is best for me as I get to explore place and city. As well as the work place and the staff is very helpful and supportive.

Wonderful Managers I enjoy working with EVK great stuff always helpful if needed best working environment.
I have learned a lot from EVK never had any trouble.EVK provides everything we ask.

The job is stressful but manageable but the politics and favouritism within the management makes it difficult but they pay on time which is good but the management could be better.
