FAMILY CONNECTIONS

I worked with this company for less than a year in 2021 and I could see that it was not a place to continue working in. 
The management at Family Connections is terrible. When staff bring up serious concerns, nothing changes. Management always finds a way to make staff at fault to avoid responsibility. This ranges from supervisors, on-call worker and office staff. 
There’s often a staff shortage resulting in staff working alone despite proper procedures indicating double staffing is required. Staff safety is not a priority. 
Many things are hidden by superiors to make it look like things are running well, when in reality these things are serious concerns. 

There is a serious lack of basic training. Even trainings that are offered in house are not adequate when/if they happen. 

The work culture is also not appropriate. Gossiping is preset in all levels of the agency. Instead of addressing concerns, most staff I encountered would rather talk behind peoples backs about it. Then complain when nothing gets done. 

There are way too many relationships within this company that are a conflict of interest, and it shows. 

I truly would not recommend pursuing a job with this company. I still don’t know how it’s still running. 

PDD manager is rude and treats his employees horrible. Management never sticks up for staff and always call you last minute for shifts. When you have a situation going on, on call is a joke they never provide any support.  The pay is very low and you are expected to stay after your shift, if your co worker doesn’t show up. Everyone hardly has any knowledge of the field and hardly can communicate in english. FCI has alot of programs but no one with experience running them. The best part of my job was my supervisor and the individual I worked for.  I have no idea how this company is still running. 

By far the worst work experience I have had. Management shows VERY little support for employees and only cares about profit. Save yourself the time! Programs are not up to standards and are not ensuring the best possible care.  There are a lot of "hidden" factors and job responsibilities that pop up after being hired (schedules, wages, job responsibilities all changed after hiring). A lot of things swept under the carpet to appear like the programs are running better or staff are more competent than they actually are. 
Nightmare from day one. Zero work-life balance.  The company should not be operating!

This is a great starter job if you have no or very little experience in the field. I would not recommend this job for people who have already worked for other organizations.

New employees are typically thrown into the job with very little orientation. Management is all over the place. The clients though are great to work for. The turn over with this company is high so job security and advancement is amazing since they always need staff.

This company is good for using people to their advantage and then cutting permanent full time hours to casual part time without notice. Very un organized practises, they don't really care about their employees and give very short notice to pick shifts up. And when you have questions for them it takes a long time for a respond or no response at all.

Family Connections Inc. has a lot of room for improvement in terms of the way it is run. Staff have been promised raises many times without any follow-through. Benefits are low and questionable. There isn't a very solid protocol for the way difficult situations should be handled at Family Connections Inc. I also think that the children, youth and the company would benefit from weekly group check-ins, and activities to get a better sense of where everyone is at and to help clients be more comfortable.

worked on adult side for a couple years now. Staff are very diverse. clients are super! managment is supportive and doesn't tolerate a lot so really good if you're a good employee and do what you're paid to lol they do fun things like bbq days and concerts. pay is good and advancement opportunities are good. mileage pay is on par with field. they've had some hiccups trying to go paperless  but its jice they are sticking with tje times! hoghlt recommend but are supprtive

They have a good clients, but the management is poor. Office workers don't know what goes on in clients house. They barely visit the clients. If there were more involved in the clients daily lives they would have a better understanding

Working with the clients was the only good part of the job.  My manager was good, new manager is horrible.  I learned not to trust others, I made a few friends. The hardest part of the job is the owner of the company. most enjoable is the client. 

I have worked for this company a few years now. The new changes that have been happening are amazing.We are double staffed all the time. Wages are better. Staff and clients are getting more then we ever did. Our new management  has really changed things for everyone. The support is wonderful and the appreciation is a wonderful feeling.   I’m proud to say I work for this company.
