If you enjoy being yelled at and cursed at by customers for your whole shift, with minimal to no support from management, then this is the job for you. 

You are the first and only point of contact for customers. There is no supervisor to transfer to and if a request for a supervisor call back does take place, you are the one to call the customer back the next day and support the previous position you provided. Supervisors (aka. Team Lead) provide what support they are able to, when they are not overrun with having to do their own work. During the first lunch shift there is only 1 Team Lead available to provide assistance to the agents on the phones whereas the second lunch shift has 1 Team Lead and 4 additional managers available. 

The room for growth is a lie. The only growth I saw was when someone quit and they needed to hire a new agent, which occurred monthly. As for hiring, management did not hire as people quit. They would hire only after the department was at half-staff or less. When low on staff, in-bound calls took priority and no agents would be given time to make any outbound calls in order to work the files they were holding. Not uncommon to pull from other departments in Customer Care to handle the phone volume due to lack of staff. Inbound calls always took precedence and emails and letters would sometimes wait months to even be looked at due to this. Also not uncommon to have mandatory overtime for the Correspondence department to get the emails and letters in queue down in order to make the metrics for the department look good. 

But let’s back track for a moment. If you were to get stuck on a call with a customer after your shift ends at 5pm and do not log out until 5:30pm, there was no overtime pay as you were not authorized to work after hours (even though you were stuck on a call). 

If you were dealing with a customer that was being verbally abusive you had to obtain permission from a Team Leader in order to disconnect the call. You were not authorized to make this decision on your own. You better get a tough skin as it is not uncommon for customers to wish the worst on you. From losing your job, to physical harm – nothing is off limits in the customer’s mind. Oh, and don’t take a few minutes after those bad calls to collect yourself – managers would rather you jump right into the next call no matter your mental state . 

As per the contract they have you sign, that is non-negotiable, you are not an employee of FCA Canada. You are a salary agreement worker whose contract can be terminated with or without cause by either party. Since you are not an employee of FCA Canada, you are not provided any benefits nor wage increases. Some people worked in the department for over 6 years and never received a raise. Any sick days or vacation days you are given are based upon the government’s current legislation. Any vacation days you do not use in the year are lost as there is no rollover to the next year. 

There are a few shining stars in the bleakness of this desolate landscape. The Team Leader’s. Bless them. They were phone agents that suffered their way to their current position and know what it was like to be you. They will do all they can that is within their ability to assist. They will tell you what worked for them when dealing with difficult customers in order to help you. They are a beacon of hope in the purgatory you were hired into. They have been where you are. The Managers haven’t – remember that.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
 They say you are not alone, but they do isolate you from everyone. Especially if you have been harrassed. Told to just put headphones on and ignore them. It doesn't work when your stuck to the line and can't get away from those that harass you. 
Certain leaders won't relieve you for a bathroom break. Tell u to go on your breaks or lunch.  Btw you get 2*9min breaks and a 22 min lunch.  Which at min of 75 ppl are trying to use the bathroom at the same time. You are nothing but a number. If you get hurt there, be prepared to be yelled at and they will try to get you to break your restrictions.
 Word of the wise don't do it. Sure the money is decent,but what it does to your body and mental health isn't worth it

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very clingy worse than high school. Very childish and lots of tattletaling

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
He'll. Stuck in the line. In the summer is stupid hot and no heat relief til it reaches 110°f and holds. If they line goes down for any reason that takes away from your heat relief. Most times they will give you a minute of heat relief

Good starting level position with good pay compared to other jobs and sets you up for future employment and the real world.  The team and department are very helpful and always willing to listen and help me when needed.  
Other reviews indicate being micro-managed with no time to work on cases.  That is definitely not the case.  Overtime is voluntary to help with extra files, which is great if you want to earn extra money!  If you're stuck on a call, you do get paid, if you ever bothered to find out. Every one of the team leaders, managers and supervisors are kind and do the best they can with what they have and if you ever spoke to them, they'll tell you they've been in your shoes.  Yes, some customers are rude and need to be diffused and it can be stressful.  You have to give them a warning and don't need "permission" to disconnect.  There's no reason for a customer or anyone to be belligerent.  
Unfortunately, some of these negative reviews must have come from disgruntled, ungrateful employees who only see their version, didn't bother to listen or ask questions, went against the grain vs. using the tools available to make it easier, and decided to hide behind their keyboard after the fact. Good luck to them.

One is micromanaged every minute of the day very stressful with no support work constantly added with no pay increase or satisfaction.  
During meeting  Suoervisor will report Agents wrong doings no open questions communications.  Agent has to withhold truth from Customers and Managers do not want to hear about issues that arise during meetings.  All one sided.  No support just evaluations. 
No benefits  notes needed  if your sick  if you take an afternoon its deducted from your vacation. Very toxic environment. 
Road to leading to no whereland. Supervisors and operation managers with big ego's 

The hours are demanding even as a student. Management picks favourites often, and if you are not a favourite you won't be called in to work. The job itself is demanding, but its not too bad, for the money you make as a student. Working with all the people there is the most challenging part. You work in an environment that makes you work all day next and very close to other people, who like to talk to you all day long. The most enjoyable part of the job is the pride everyone who works there takes in making the vehicles.

Great place to work in terms of what is expected on a daily basis. There is some flexibility and freedom while you’re at work, but in terms of the relationship between maintenance supervisors and hourly maintenance staff it’s poor at best. Time off when you want it isn’t easy to come by. Many Saturdays are mandatory. Having said that you can make some money here, but it comes with its own price.

Write and send letters to customer explaining resolutions to problems or inquiry. Always positive response to customers about company policies and or procedures. Knowledgeable coworkers help each other to achieve positive outcome for customer.

Learned a lot during my time at FCA group. Learned how to be a reliable, fast paced, and committed worker as these were all requirements of the job. Had very little time to rest, so it also taught me discipline. Management was nice, and the culture at work was a positive one. Hardest part of the job was the physical labour and the most enjoyable was being able to contribute to building world class automobiles.

This is an excellent place to work . It is fast paste working on the line BUT before you go on the job you will be well trained . Depending on the job you could get up to 2 days training . Union is great and will protect you and the Safety is enormous there . Everything is Safety in this plant  .Great pension and Benefits. Team Leaders are there is assist you and give you breaks .

well run system made the job easy to do.  how to plan the job layout.  everyone in the team worked together to get the job done. The hardest part of the job was when a new tool was needed it would take forever to get one from the Foreman.  Some times the employer would reward one for doing a super job.
