FIDDLEHEADS HEALTH & NUTRITION

Fiddleheads started as one of the best job experiences I have had thus far. Towards the end of my employment it quickly deteriorated. People began quitting left and right because of their experiences with those they were working with/management, scheduling and staffing issues, etc.
There were many positives - great selection of products, smoothies/treats, kind customers/coworkers...
When the pandemic caused shutdowns, they failed to inform me that the smoothie bar would be closed until further notice - not surprised because communication was lacking on more than one occasion, but also surprised because I was one of two employees still working (since 3+ had very recently quit). It was not until months later I was contacted and it was assumed I had quit also - even though I had very clearly not handed in a notice and had spoke with other staff regarding when the bar would reopen. 
Further communications included being put on standby until further notice because they “might need me”. Never told officially that I was no longer on payroll or let go - it was a very confusing situation. It seems this was a case of wrongful termination, even though I had done my best as an employee but had been forgotten without explanation.

Working as part of the Fiddleheads team is both exciting and rewarding. There is endless opportunity to deepen your knowledge of supplements and the field of natural medicine as management highly encourages educating both staff and the community. 

It is required that we work together as a team - sharing information, problem solving, communicating, completing daily tasks  and ultimately in providing excellent customer service. For me, that naturally creates a supportive team environment and positive vibe. 

Management has always been available and receptive to hear my thoughts, as well as allow me special time off that I've needed. The owners are very present in day-to-day operations and despite being very busy ladies, they have a clear open door policy and make the time to check in with staff.

I enjoyed the learning aspect from the training and helping people with their needs, but getting paid the same amount as someone working at a fast food place is extremely unreasonable. 
They cut everyone's shifts recently due to the increase in minimum wage and don't seem to care at all about their employees' and their need.
Not bad for a short time but they clearly have such a high turnover for a reason.

After being with Fiddleheads for over 5 years now, I’ve experienced more job satisfaction and personal growth than I ever had in the past. Fiddleheads dedication to providing exceptional customer care includes maintaining a positive atmosphere for all staff and facilitating their growth and education. Staff can expect to build meaningful relationships with their coworkers and customers. There’s no better feeling than knowing you have helped someone make improvements in their wellbeing. Fiddleheads’s gives you a chance to make a difference and a reason to love the work you do.

Overall one of the best places I have worked. It's a very dynamic and positive work environment. There is a lot expected, but the compensation is reasonible. Management is always looking for you to further your health and wellness knowledge and gives you an endless amount of opportunities to attend trainings which are at times paid and/or compensated with dinner, free product etc. Would definitely recommend working here if you are looking for a career in health and wellness.

I loved working at this place. Management were hardworking, fair and just fun people in general. The owners really stepped up during early days of the COVID lockdown by trying to find hours for their staff that got laid off. If I didn't have to move back to the East coast, I would still be working there.

The most enjoyable experiences I have had working at Fiddleheads Health and Nutrition has been the incredible amount of knowledge I have gained in natural supplementation and the wonderful people I have worked with.  Never have I worked so closely and positively with a group of women.  Everyone is respectful and supportive.

Yes, retail environments can be hard, but they don't have to be unsupportive as it is here. There are 6 stores and only one of the managers is actually nice to talk to. The Employers put a lot of stress on Sales reps and make people uncomfortable by hovering and micromanaging. For a company promoting health, it is not a healthy environment to work in.

This company is by far the best I have ever worked for! They care for their employees and the community.They want customer service to always be the number one priority and that says a lot. It feels like one giant family no matter what department you are in. I would recommend working for Fiddleheads!!
