Typically the workday would start at 9 AM and end at 6 PM, however since this was a support type role, there were overtime shifts but they were not mandatory. At FIS I learned to manage databases using Microsoft SQL Server and how to troubleshoot day to day operational issues in generating market risk and credit risk data for clients. Management  was inadequate in evaluating employee strengths and weaknesses, as a result resources were not being used to their full ability or not assigned to the right teams. The hardest part of the job was maintaining communication with clients and following ticketing protocol, while simultaneously trying to investigate technical issues. The best part of the job was being able to work with multiple teams and getting exposure to different skills.

A standard day would be fast paced, constantly interacting with both an internal team of sales people in the office, as well as a team of sales reps out on the road. As a part of the management team, we are required to ruin off various reports for upper management on sales figures, etc, and also to keep the internal team motivated. I enjoy working within a team and being a motivator, but I also thrive in a personal work environment - getting through my own daily jobs aside from the team I work with.

FIS has solid benefits, good products and a decent workforce. However, outside a few well-managed fiefdoms, the company is not a place for high performers or the ambitious. Management is so heavily top down that I've found myself literally sitting around waiting days or weeks for a C-level person to "approve" my work (I was not their direct report). And despite the very fancy performance management system they use, I was never given any job roles or responsibilities, performance goals or development plans. It's a management blackhole.

Collecting and delivering customers consignments safely, securely, punctually and in perfect condition.
Loading and unloading items and parcels into a van.
Transporting products that need urgent delivery.
Obtaining signatures from customers.
Completing all relevant administrative procedures and paper work.
Examining a vehicle before departing to make delivery.
Take ownership on delivery of all services and standards
Recording information, such as items received and delivered and recipients.

It used to be a decent place to work but when they started to hire their technical personnel to India, all h..ell broke loose. They let many many programmers and analyst go just to replace them with offshore people.  It was a very sad place when I left and everybody was depressed because they knew their days are numbered!!

Great company.  Wonderful people who, as I did, cared about their careers.  We worked long hours, and having said that, we all enjoyed what we were doing. Sometimes a lot of travel with the benefit of seeing places you would not have seen.  Such as Klagenfurt, Austria.  

It was really nice to work in a honorable organization like FIS. The work culture was a bit fast-paced but, that's how a customer service jobs are and it was an good experience working there, and the hardest part of the job is to work in a rotational shift and commuting, else everything was nice, the pay scale was good and one can generate good amount of incentives.

Overall pay is good but the culture is not. You have to consider all other benefits. One of the great things about working at FIS is the nature of our business. As an FIS employee, you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology.

Over all a very rewarding experience at FIS.

FIS Global is a challenging organization where resources are required to wear multiple hats due to lack of head count.  Career progression is limited unless you are located in one of the major global headquarters.
