What is the best part of working at the company?
For the most part, the management and the people were great. The last job was my second round with them and That job lasted 15 years. It was a good run as a shop manager for 60 to 100 people. I screened and hired 90% of them and worked with the management and the shop floor supervision to ensure we were efficient and on top of the fab quality to the end

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Honestly trying to get the supervision to participate in handling progressive discipline properly with their crews. They were busy keeping organized and keeping the flow going. Crewing was hard to replace. There was quite a bit of turnover and a lot of green hats had to be dealt with

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment and culture were good. For the most part people enjoyed their work and did a good job. There were quite a few lifers there that started with me and some before me

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I don’t smoke or drink so most days I only stopped for lunch . Sometimes I’d get so fAr behind I’d have to lock my office door and turn off my radio to  get back on. Top of the ever changing environment

No comments  on my behalf, it is a job like anyone else

Work steady , safe and have a good work plan with lead hand and coworkers

It’s good. They give you jobs and let you do it right

I got good pay but got replaced too soon, wasn't too happy with that considering I was a good, hard worker.  I liked the shift and got put in camp so saved a lot of money while I was there.  Did not agree with much of the management and their safety choices.  Was a lot of crooked decisions I think they made to save time and money.

If you are a girl you can guarantee a supervisor will try to have slintercourse or hit on you. Girls use there bodies to jump more skilled operators. Some operators create drama for fun. But the work is steady and lots of overtime.

Good place to work. Your co-workers are down to earth, easy to communicate with. They pay fairly good wages based on your trade and experience. Safety on site is well managed, a good place take on new skills and gain extra construction field knowledge.

Moved a little too quickly into the Canadian market and the timing was not in their favour.

Lots of diversity in scopes and projects that they can have their hands in.

There was a strong work , home life balance. My direct manager had a huge ego but I fed his ego, they kept me employed. The customers were amazing as well as the other team members. 

While working for Aecom I was challenged in every aspect of my day. When tasks were mastered, there was always something more to do to challenge and grow my skills.
