I figured I would give a smaller company a try as with huge corporations a person tends to feel like a number after so long. I worked for FMi for a few months. The people were great and easy to get along with and we had a lot of fun. Its hard to describe but the atmosphere is unsettling. They go through people like water at this place and anyone that was worth a dollar has been let go in one way or another. Very disorganized, and the owner has instilled an atmosphere where everyone blames everyone else. I hate places like this as I am one to take more than my share of blame just so others don't have to worry about it. This place had the best team they could have possibly assembled to turn their operation around and every person they needed they let go. In my eyes that is a true show of intelligence on their part.

Busy,loads of work,I learned the ins and outs of running a warehouse from loading to the out sourcing of the drivers and thier loads, Management needs to improve their skills in regard equal opportunity and pay grades based on skills of the workers and not gender of the employee. the hardest part of the job was doing all the work without the appreciation for doing all the work.the most enjoyable part of the job was co-workers and thier abillity to lighten the atmosphere even when the job load was at it's toughest.

I liked this company, it was a tougher start than I expected though without a lot of training but I think is normal with a smaller business.  The people all work pretty hard together and the whole company seems to rely on everyone for input and improving.  While I was there we improved training and we had a lot of busy days. I worked here for 4 years and moved away from Calgary due to family circumstances.

Busy with lots of strategies around people management, duties to attend, planning and organizing

The positions are not clearly defined and the management sends mixed messages as far as expectations. In the time I was there, staff turnover was about 50% (approx.25 employees).Management seems to shoot from the hip and lacks focus.
Their idea of benefits was a $100 per month health allowance for your entire family.

They abuse their workers.... Not useful to work there!  Poorly mismanaged company, horrible shipping department manager who does NO work and expects everyone else to do work while she stands around in front of a computer and complains about other people and their work ethic!!

Was a great experience learned alot was allowed to grow and develop. Some days and weeks became high stress during seasonal deadlines. Would recommend to anyone looking for career in SCM. 

It's was a great experience working at fmi logistcs. Fmi logistics is a good place of work specially for advancement. Good employer and employee. I really recommend

this is a small company and tries to take on to much,  most of the good worker are gone do to the old operations manager,  since he has left things are getting better.

Overall, Great team and a great place to work.
There is work life balance , a great work place culture. Everybody is ready to help you when you have challenges on your work.
