I had the privilege of working at the University of Victoria, and I am delighted to share my review about this job experience. Working at the University of Victoria has been a stimulating and nurturing journey. From the vibrant academic environment to the supportive colleagues and endless learning opportunities, this job has been truly rewarding.

My experience working as a receptionist was both rewarding and professionally enriching. The workplace maintained a well-organized and supportive environment, which made it easier to manage daily responsibilities efficiently. Communication between team members and management was clear and respectful, creating a positive atmosphere throughout the organization.

In my role, I handled front desk operations, greeted clients, managed appointments, and responded to inquiries. The workplace provided a structured system that allowed me to stay organized while multitasking in a fast-paced setting. I appreciated the emphasis on professionalism, customer service, and teamwork, which helped me strengthen my interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Firstly, there's the thrill of being part of a team committed to providing fresh, affordable groceries to the community. The diverse tasks, from organizing produce to assisting customers in finding their favorite items, keep each day dynamic and rewarding. Interacting with regulars and newcomers alike fosters a sense of belonging and camaraderie, making every shift feel like a gathering of friends. 

They layoff people without giving any notice be prepared guys worst company i have ever worked for i been working my A S S of at work never late for work always helped them when work was behind never paid overtime they just bank your hours and pay u regular basic pay even if you worked overtime all i wanna say is dont trust this company they will lay you off anytime with notice they do not care about anyone all the care about is money not value there employees 

If management does not like for whatever reason they will phase you out of the company.   The company's management will not tell you unless you become aware of these measures.  Essentially reducing in-store employee hours and eventually becoming locked out of the system.  You can work with them 2.5 years or more and it will be all for nothing.   

This is not a company of wellness or growth. 

Training is poor.
No office to use, you have a make shift deck on a wall on the plant floor.
Lowest pay anywhere.
Landed immigrants  taken advantage of.
Upper Management is well payed, and shows off campers, boats by storing then on site for all to see.
 
 

The manager is very nice and pleasent.  Owner are really approachable and help with training and correct mistakes. Rest of staff and colleagues were helpful and respectful 

Management here is quite ridiculous, in regards to time off and scheduling, that is a huge issue. They do not have enough staff at certain locations leaving people overworked and underappreciated, your value as a person is based on sales only. 

As the title says, it's an alright company to work for. The more people you know then you can make more. If you're solo and didn't grow up in the same city that you work in then it can be tough to build up a cliental as you don't know people yet.
