No HR rep, no formal route to take complaints, an insistance on wearing coveralls that pose a health and safety risk, no encouragement, skirts safety laws, falsifies air quality tests, CEO flaunts wealth while refusing to provide shop with basic amenities. Overcharges customers, sells them D grade material but charges A grade prices. Just a bunch of stingy and greedy people.

Most people are underpaid for what is expected of them. Management never comes down from the ivory tower, they are completely out of touch with the atmosphere on the floor and in service. The service department is a dysfunctional beast, so much negativity it will literally suck the life out of you! The management  has no idea what is happening and can’t get it together. 

Working with the other mechanics was very nice but the manager was probably the worst manager I’ve ever worked with in my tire life I don’t know how he’s running that shop I don’t know how it staying afloat! But the girls worked in the office were amazing they were more of a help than the manager ever was!! 

They did not teach people how to steal tools,They just take it in front of your eyes, You will have a hard time like you can not get a raise, There is a great problem with the language of many people Poor english pronunciation.
If not for the benefit of having this job is not worth it

Very good staff that help you grow and mature to become the best you can be. The workers at Fort Garry Firetrucks carry immense amount of experience in their field, helping anyone new such as a student learn from their expertise.

Every day you can do your own job. There is no pressure, any stress. Just come to work, back to home on time. Perfect life and work balance, job security

Salaries are below the industry average, which is a bit disappointing


This was a good stepping stone for me to get experience in my field. It allowed me to get years of experience doing work i enjoyed. The team in shop were nearly all great guys. For the most part i enjoyed the experience.

it is a good place to work in, and all the coworks are friendly, feel comfortabel working in there. I usually start working at 8 am, finishing work at 4：30 pm. It is my first job related to my program and I love this job very much.

I learned a lot of CAD modeling. Job is not as fun since everyone keeps to themselves and are afraid of the engineering manager. Made me realize that engineering design is not for me since it can get quite repetitive.

Good place to work and people are nice  
But their hourly wage is too low according to other places.  
If you don't need money and want to have experience about welding. You might think working there .
