Poor management, management here are mostly workers that been there for years moved up the ladder with no management training, education or credentials, careful this non-profit association will tell you there is opportunity for promotion  but only if you been there for years and who likes you in management. Supporting staff is very timidated by management fear of losing their job if they have opinions on job duties or tasks, you will not necessarily be doing the job description hired for. Management and senior staff will say its a fast pace working environment but its just "poorly" organized with to many hens in the coop. Supporting staff are all over the place managing each other, they will help you as they train each other but only if they like you. Otherwise watch your back because they will stab you in it.
A very gossiping management and a cliquey environment. Not welcoming to new staff unless you have no experience or confidence, do not bother applying if you have a strong personality. Do not apply if you believe what the association stands for as it has been managed the same way for years "poorly". They are not open to changes, even with hiring a new CEO. Watch there will be no improvement in this association because it has been run by the same management for over 10 or more years. This CEO will not or be able to make changes. 
CLBC needs to clean house. 

Hands down the best organization I have ever worked for. Staff are friendly, and the managers, office staff, and supervisors all take the time to get to know you. Training is provided to help grow your skills, and there is room for advancement for those who are interested; many of the management and supervisors all started as entry level staff. Working at this organization feels like building a career, not just having a job. 

Aside from managers and administration, it is a union environment. Staff can expect wage increases at pre-determined levels, and have equal opportunity to apply on permanent full-time positions. There is a robust benefit plan for all full-time staff, and casual staff get an additional percentage on top of their wage in lieu of benefits. Benefits include vision care, prescriptions, dental, chiropractic/massage, and payment into a pension plan, which is nice especially if you have a family. Staff on the benefit plan also get access to local gyms and the pool. 

Everyone is friendly and welcoming and it's nice going to work knowing that what you spend your day to day doing directly impacts people and makes a difference in their lives, even working in administration. I have family members with disabilities and it's important to me to know that this resource is available in the community. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The Individuals I supported. The team of people that work there as well. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When you can’t help individuals who struggle with their emotions or lack of self.  They need to learn strategies that they can use with the ability level they have.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They are a group of people who are all on the same team.  They are there for each other. Wonderful staff.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You are scheduled with certain people to support them and you carry out the day doing whatever task is needed to help the individual with whatever it is they need

A typical day at work when i worked for the association, was come in 15 minutes early check that all medications were given and signed for, count money with other staff members. Make sure Accucheck and meds were given on time, help prepare breakfast, help get everyone ready for the day, started chores with individuals, lunch prep,work prep, made sure everyones logs logs were completed, would take individuals out in the community. 

My co-workers were absolutly amazing.

The hardest part of my job was deffiantly saying goodbye to one of my clients when they moved away.

Most enjoyable part of that job was to get to no the individulas.

The entire management team at this office is incredibly cliquey and not welcoming to anyone who has not worked there for less than 5 years. You MUST agree with them completely to avoid conflict. Ideas and criticism are encouraged but NOT welcome when brought into the space. Many different jobs are put onto one worker and covered under "other tasks as required" when the worker raises issue that the tasks are not related to the role they were hired for. Incredibly toxic office culture. 

The days are well structured but still you never know what will happen in a day which is nice. The supervisors coach you and are accessible when you need something. The rest of the team is helpful, everyone does their work. The culture is collaborative and very person centered. Hardest part is getting time off.  The most enjoyable part is the team and the individuals. 

Staff is amazing and they are willing to train even if you have no experience. They are very accepting of who you are. You start off as a casual which kind of sucks and hours are based off seniority but usually in the summer you get a lot of hours. You get the opportunity  to get orientated at other residences incase you dont get enough hours. This is by far my favorite job so far and I look forward to building my career within this establishment

I enjoyed my job very much. You had your ups and downs during your shift. Each day or hour could be different from what it was before. You need to have patience and some understanding, not every day is going to be the same. If you want to challenge yourself, have patience, and want a rewarding job then this is for you. I know I did.

No complaints about the individuals or the association itself. I loved working with the people who live there. Most of the staff were great, but there was some toxicity that led to a stressful situation for staff. 

Easy and fun workplace, management are so great they offer you free training, outdoor activities with the client, co worker are helpful, the hardest part I ever experience is when the client had seizure and my most enjoyable part of job is when going out to watch movies or show.
