FPH is a nice company to work for. There are perks which you won't find often. The ten hour shifts, while long at first, allow for a long weekend. An expansive benefits package. Christmas gifts, company events, and free lunches. 

The staff members are friendly and professional. Bullying and harassment is dealt with immediately by both staff and management. The company strives to have a cohesive, tightly-knit team so they're serious about weening out any anti-social people. 

Work is plentiful, given you demonstrate a good work ethic and a willingness to learn. This goes for cross-training as well. Overtime is always available. Overtime is mandator from time-to-time, and has been extended longer than anticipated. The work is not extremely strenuous but does require physical exertion. You won't be expected to throw your back out for this job. The conditions are to be expected. This is a production environment so you're going to get your hands dirty.  The proper PPE is provided. The work itself is easy, however, it does require precision. There is room for error in the beginning stages of the learning process. Staff members are ready to correct and guide you as needed. 

I don't have many complaints. I have worked for other companies and most didn't treat their employee with nearly as much respect as FPH does. The four-day work week is a huge selling point for me. I do wish the wages were higher, but its worthwhile for the quality of life.

A great group of people to work with and for. They genuinely care about their employees and go above and beyond to show it. They do a lot of activities that other companies no longer do such as company golf tournaments, BBQ's, Holiday Party, Lunches, Holiday contests etc.. 
Most enjoyable part of working here is the people and the type of work you are doing. An overall positive and go getter attitude. There will always be the negative nancy's no matter where you go, but the team here works well together and always rises to the challenge. 
Top management doesn't always spend enough time on the shop floor, but there is an open door policy so if anyone wanted to speak to them about anything they can always approach them in the office. 
Issues raised seem to be taken care of rather quickly for the most part. 
Some of the work on the shop floor can be very hot (in the summer) and very dusty and dirty. 
I would recommend this place to friends and family members to work at making sure they know that while the people play hard, they also work hard.

A typical work day is ten hours I've learned how to properly prep parts for paint while reparimg and damage so when the part is painted it looks flawless 
Management treats employees as people and not a number and if you work hard  and show up everyday management notices and will help u advance 
The culture there is great like family it's some what relaxed a lot of joking around  the hardest part of my job was dealing with all the bondo dust but once I got promoted to lead hand the hardest part was trying to use people to there strength also the ten hour shift can be long some day the most enjoyable part was the 4 day worlk weeks

The best part of working at FPH is between the hands-on work, attention to detail jobs took, and the amazing people I had the opportunity to work with and around.

The most stressful part of working at FPH, to be honest, being awake on time and some days that most would call a bad day.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment of FPH was noisy due to everyone working, very friendly and accepting.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day at FPH was wonderful, slow mornings, but once everyone got into work it was a wonderful place to the jobs I was assigned.

Upper management is ineffective, internal politics are prevalent, as is favouritism. Ridiculous employee turnover, above average stress and occasional staff burnout (due to poor management/support). Promises made to entice motivation, but rarely kept. Military division GM is a functioning Al Coholic and is often inappropriate. Amazing that he hasn't been #metoo'd yet! Owner is quite wealthy and makes sure to remind his minimum wage immigrant employees of this on a regular basis. One of the most arrogant people I've ever worked for.

Work is interesting and enjoyable to do and most people are nice but the management is so far sideways in thinking that they just care about numbers and not the employees. The president is hardly ever seen and the production manager spends most of his time in his office instead of on the floor.Pay is not near enough to go along with the responsibility of what is expected and what is being produced.

The interview went exceptionally well and I was completely sold on working here by the end of it. Unfortunately, it was all down hill after that. There is zero training. There is no communication between staff and management. There is also a lot of downtime when they run out of work.  Mandatory overtime started in September and was supposed to end October 14th. Mandatory overtime has continued without any formal notice to employees.

Great company with a big emphasis on corporate culture. FPH is constantly holding small events to break up the work week (chili cook-off, golf tournament, pancake Tuesday) and management, even the CEO, is approachable and easy to talk to. COVID has made a lot of the events difficult but the company has offered a lot of flexibility for people to ensure everyone is remaining safe and healthy.

This place Is good if you are just starting out in a work environment there are quite a lot of workers that do not speak English working there and you do not need no experience to work there. And a LOT of workers there don’t speak English! That should tell you, how hard the job is and how hard it is to learn! ;) Goodluck

Took me 2 years to write this but cultural fit is a big thing there , specially when you outsource all your work and do nothing all day except over dress for holloween and regret. 1-2 employees know what they are doing ;sap and solidworks.
