My personal review about fairfax community resources is that the leaders there take advantages of the workers especially the new comers whom do not have any other choice but to make ends meet.
working at fairfax is based on who is your friend amonges the staff and team leaders otherwise discriminatory atittude is set up.Fairfax community resources is known for firing their best and hard workers because the higher authourity so much trusted their house managers(team leaders) that would want to get ride of any staff for some reasons (1) asking for hours (2) very inquisitive (3) hard working (4)
or does not gossip with either the leaders or other worker, this they classified as a team player, which is wrong- setting others up at work place is not the way to show team work.so if you do not belonges to this group, you are in problem working at fairfax because the office do not follow up properly what is going on at the residential houses where the staff work but rely on every papper work.

I only got this job because I knew somebody and had experience with the field. When I started they immediately were upset when I had a doctors appointment and couldn't make it on time to a shift even when they were aware. They said I couldn't use sick time for such a thing. If you were working the night shifts they were long, especially when they were changed to 12 hours shifts. Shifts would often be scheduled for an overnight and then you would work again the next day during the day which would impact your performance because you didn't sleep the night before. Labour boards were contacted and made aware of the illegal scheduling but nothing was done. Management didn't seem to care about your mental health. I loved my coworkers and my house team lead but it was clear that there were issues in the main office with managers and the executive directors.

A typical day at work is very peaceful and requires one to be great at multi-tasking . 
I learned how to communicate with my co-workers and customers in a professional way .
Managing daily transactions and money at the tills was a great and enjoyable experience . 
My co-workers are very happy and love their jobs. They are wiling to help when you need one.
There was nothing hard about my job .
The most enjoyable part of my job was the satisfactory smile a customer have after i give them the best customer service they deserve .

A typical day at work is routinely and staff should be able to work independently in a team environment.

Workplace culture is to seek the welfare of residents and staff at all time.
 
I won't say the hardest but challenging part of the job is keeping things under control when there is agitation from the residents.

The most enjoying part of the job comes when there is cordial coexistence between the residents and staff

I've had a consistently positive experience with this agency. The team is professional, reliable, and genuinely cares about the well-being of the people they support. One of the worst companies to work for. No ones job is secure and they just up and let people go with no reason. Also the management is horrible. Management gets to do whatever they want and don’t care about direct support staff. Full time staff are expected to work every and any type of shift. If you give any type of restriction for shifts, immediately you’re moved to part time or casual. Also if you’re not a favourite of the company, be aware they will look for ways to get rid of you.

When I first started the ED seemed amazing and the way she spoke felt like she worked the same way as me. Shortly after my first shift I began to see the culture of distrust (cameras, including hidden ones everywhere for example), gossip, insults, lack of support.... god it was crazy. 3 staff quit and wrote lengthy grievance letters that I'm aware of during my stint. I myself was thrown under the bus by management even after my direct boss apologized for a mistake she had made. Awful agency in my opinion

love working any where at fairfax. it is fun. learned that the individuals has different good qualities just try to find that and the management are great, they are there when you need them. My co-workers are very very great helping each other to make our job easy. The hardest part when they move you with out your knowledg but most of the time very enjoyable.

There is not a typical day for at work, i learned so many things every time i worked, the management were good and the co-workers were extraordinarily excellent to work with,there is nothing hard in the this life when you supported it pray,every part of the job are enjoyable

Poor mgt, one man business. Not staff friendly. Hire and fire culture. Shifts arent flexible. Pay is fair. Not so much benefits. Staff turnover high! I did not really enjoyed working here. I chosed not to return as casual when i resigned because of shifts inflexibility!
