This company is really good at pretending they care about you. The moment you bring up a safety concern you will receive retaliation, you’ll get given the bad jobs. I will admit- the company events are above and beyond. But the everyday life you are just treated like another number. Senior management doesn’t even converse with shop employees. You are promised advancement opportunities but it’s all just mind games. You never get the opportunities. Every location has a few favourite guys who are given special treatment(career advancements, non stop raises, all the good jobs) the rest of the people get the scraps and are not rewarded for their hard work. You can’t even compete with the people who have worked there 10 plus years. Even if you are better than them, you will be treated like you aren’t good at all. The minute things get slow anyone who’s been at the company less than 5 years gets a permanent lay off, no severance. Then when things pick back up they hire new people to abuse and the cycle continues. I would only recommend this place to get in, get your hours and leave running!

Nothing, your experience and time Is not valued.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No tooling, no support. Bad leadership. Left our to dry on a daily.  Not a mechanic friendly shop.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is one of the worst shops I’ve ever worked at.  Management is very childish.  It’s like working in a shed. Not allowed to turn the thermostat past a certain degree in winter.  There is no culture. Not one team building event throughout the year or even a lunch for appreciating mechanics. If your a mechanic wanting to grow and learn this is not the place for you!!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Almost every single person showed up late  every single day. Zero punishment. In my eyes that beats down a good employee that takes pride in their career.  And being left out to dry on the daily because we take on jobs we don’t have the tooling or knowledge about.  Personally felt bad for lots of customers that take equipment there.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The opportunity to work on a variety of equipment and build real technical experience. The work is challenging yes, which keeps things interesting but youre trusted to solve problems. Come on in and join the Sunnyside!! Trust me you'll love Greg and everyone!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I would say during winter. Snow can get very packed outside the bay doors, meaning you would then lose ground clearance especially when you are needing bring a much taller crane than usual. Gets very exciting but we overcome the challenge 😁

It's amazing. It’s an energetic fast moving workplace thats best suited for people who like staying engaged and thinking on their feet.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working very closely with the admins as well as providing technical support to the floor and external customers.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Friendly work environment (management, Co workers) Positive atmosphere , Flexible holiday schedules.  Good benefits program. Indoor climate controlled environment. Remuneration is not at the top of the scale but there is a positive trade off for the work environment.

Sometimes problems are encountered when building trucks. Problem solving skills are essential, but there is good support from supervisors and co workers.

Family atmosphere. This company has a family first attitude and strives to support its workers. They are willing to help further educate those that are driven to excel. Fosters inclusiveness and fairness. H.R. and management always have time to listen to your concerns.

There are plenty of opportunities here for individuals who are eager to learn and want to grow in their careers professionally. Manager, Supervisor, and HR here do their job well and go the extra mile to take the time to invest in their employees and understand what makes a great work atmosphere. Regular safety meetings allowed us to share our concerns, ideas, and continue to sustain a safe working environment. The workers and staff here were friendly, experienced, easy to get along with, professional, knowledgeable and great role models. This company had some of the most reliable employees who were great problem solvers, who had an answer for everything and they really deserve more credit for the work they do.

People here are always here to help you upon any request ! Great apprenticeship program. Benefits are great . Always new work to do so you’re always able to learn and not get stagnant!

Sometimes the availability of parts can cause stress when trying to complete jobs !

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
My fellow workers are always available for help . The Forman is there to get you going in the right direction! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working our way through our truck builds safely and efficiently ! The management gives us plenty of good feedback to help us accomplish out truck builds!

I have been with Falcon for the past four years, and it has been an incredibly positive experience. Every colleague I’ve had the opportunity to work with has been respectful and collaborative. Despite the company’s continued growth, the work environment maintains a close-knit, family-oriented feel. Falcon is a great place to work with an amazing team. Pros of working at Falcon include the culture (several team building activities), room for growth and learning, a management team that gives good feedback and is dedicated to employee development, work/life balance, and free parking! I noticed a lot of people wrote that a con is the lack of guidance. If you are someone who works better with constant check-in's from managers then Falcon might push you out of your comfort zone. I am someone who doesn't like to be micromanaged which is why Falcon has been a great fit for me!

Days off. Parking. And days off.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Poor Management, terribly unorganized service department. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terrible, poor management creates massive negativity within the lower levels. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Terrible, listening to the service department gets extremely annoying. Too much swearing and yelling provides a terribly unprofessional experience both for the worker as well as the customers.

Falcon Equipment has been a great place to work so far, I have worked in the administration field for 15 plus years and the transition to working here has been a great fit for me. I was made to feel welcome on my first day, not only by management, but by fellow employees as well. My team mates have been available for help and answer my questions on customers and procedures without hesitation.
