Good, old, nonprofit, multi-site organization with a decent track record. Needs better efforts toward bridging and connecting their organizations' staff to maximize/retain the talent and potential. Top-down approaches to leadership,  despite having great ideas/vision around round-table collaboration...old habits die hard.
Staff working on the ground, feel disconnected and are often voiceless on account of persistent hierarchical ideologies and practice.

Practical,  well-thought-out, intentional spaces for authentic collaboration/conversation to hear from every level of staff will create better transparency and also inform best practices, policies and foster a sense of community. Many missed opportunities could be addressed if silos are bridged.




Family Day is filled with really great staff and some good supervisors/managers. There is not much room for growth and pay increase. A lot of pressure is put on the ECE in each classroom and although the Union is a great asset their interests are with the company and not the workers. Very flexible with scheduling. Very little funding for new materials and although they say they will pay back the staff. They might not for months.

The child care centres and drop-in programs are great places to work! The head office is chaotic. One administrative assistant is rude and obnoxious and the other is kind and professional. There are staff working in human resources and accounting with no formal education or experience. A lot of staff spend their time walking back and forth to the break room to socialize. The benefits and pay are good (health and dental) with lots of paid time off (sick days and vacation).

It was a bad experience to be part of the hiring process for supply teacher position. I got a job offer and underwent all the medical tests and Police check.
I had no health card so had to bear all expenses in order to join ASAP but after completing all formalities I sent all the results to the HR. I kept waiting to hear from her about my joining date but she never responded.

I felt cheated and under stress. I had to spend a lot of money to get this job and at the end I was left without any answers and job.

I worked as a daycare provider with family daycare services for 17 years . My experience was amazing . Great support from the supervisors; hands on learning through workshops . Very professional and positive experience. 
2017/2019, I worked for the same outfit as a teachers assistant in a school for the before and after school program; generally the experience was positive .

This company values having toxic people controlling the environment at all levels from frontline to upper management. It’s an opportunity for you to use as a stepping stone but not an organization that will allow you to grow within the organization. 

I was hired as a Casual RECE to supply in different centres around GTA. The quality of education and system are standardized among all centres I went to. Absolutely loved the teamwork and welcoming environment.

All employees are kind ,friendly nd willing to help.pay is very good compared to other competitors in this field. Its  very busy environment.FDC  is very keen on keeping kids Safe and happy.they provide the best toys and food which is also nutritious too.

family day is a great company overall, it  has lots of opportunities, great environment for children, clean centers follow high scope curriculum. good benefit package for fulltime staff
