The reason I have mixed feelings, is they hired me. I spend an entire month reviewing and revising a program which was loved and praised and completed a month before the due date. I did shadowing of any program I could and supported as much as I was allowed. However a month in, once the program was revised and right before Christmas they decided to tell me it was not a fit. It was disheartening as they would not tell me what all of the sudden made it not a fit, they did not come to me at any period to address work concerns and I was given nothing but compliments. It was a very disappointing way to let someone go. I would have appreciated more context or an actual answer. Given that my performance was up to par and nothing was brought forth. They also allowed me to work the entire morning before bringing me into a meeting before lunch, which in my opinion was extremely embarrassing and made me feel extremely awkward. 

The spoke very highly about their high expectations and retention of employees, and how honest and upfront they were with all employees however their actions showed different when it counted. 

The staff in the organization are very skilled and professional in what they do and are always striving to develop and improve programming to ensure high calibre programming and services for children and families.  Leadership works diligently to support front line staff to ensure they have the tools and training to do their work, are informed and supported to carry out evidence informed, evidence based and practice based programs and services.  They also strive to create a positive work life balance and equitability in how they do so.  This organization is very in tune with the strengths and needs of the communities and participants they work with and conscientiously address this throughout the programs, services, provided and the partnerships and collaboratives they are part of.

I have worked with this company for several years now and will continue to for years to come. The agency has grown so much and with that, the management and supervisory team has noted my personal strengths and talents and have continuously encouraged myself to learn and grow in a positive and supportive work environment. Through this I, along with many others, have had the opportunity to be promoted into different positions within the agency which I believe has only contributed to my own personal growth and development.  

This agency provides staff members with a great work-life balance, provides endless opportunities for training and development, and encourages team collaboration. FFRN also makes sure to celebrate our successes together as a team. I am proud to work with such knowledgeable, creative, energetic colleagues and management team.

I have worked in the non profit arena for a number of years and working at Family Futures Resource Network has been the best decision I have made. The management team strive to build a culture that is fair, positive and encourage staff involvement. They are open to feed back and encourage staff to bring new creative ways of running programs and services. 
During these challenging times, when many organizations were laying staff off, Family Futures did whatever they could to keep us employed and respected the many challenges that came with COVID like childcare. They supported staff throughout this entire time and did what they had to to make sure the staff and our community were taken care of.

I was a contract worker for Family Futures during their summer programming so I only worked with them for 2 months, however, they were 2 of the best months of work experience I have gotten. The management demonstrated support through weekly check-ins that didn't only focus on the work but also on the individual without micro-managing and allowing room for independence. Unlike many other summer programs, their programming is fun, age-appropriate and educational. The culture was warm, fun and encouraging not just with the staff but also with the participants. Such a great opportunity for summer students who want to gain experience while having fun!

I worked with Family Futures Resource Network for 3 years. At the start of my 3rd I applied for and was promoted to a supervisor position. This agency is in a constant state of growth and change because that is the need of the community and a big part of the vision of they want to stay relevant and to be supportive to our community and to the staff. If you're passionate about community support and enjoy making friends with coworkers and want to work in a supportive environment with good people, then look no further.

I have worked at many non-profit agencies over the years and this has been a really good experience. I enjoy coming to work and like the people I work with. The job is interesting and I feel well prepared to support families and children. 

The leadership and management team are collaborative in their approach and are quick to provide positive feedback. 

The agency has a great reputation for providing quality programs.The programs and services that are provided are well planned and executed. 

I would recommend working at Family Futures.

Best Family Mentorship Team in the city. 

Creative team members do not have enough, if any, opportunities to use creativity. 

Non profit realities equals fair but not great wage.  Some benefits , good for singles but not great for a family.

As a new employee at Family Futures, I feel that I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work here. There is a real team culture here, with very supportive staff, supervisors and managers. We had a great orientation and I have regular support and guidance from all the staff as I learn about my position and the organization. I really like being given the opportunity to share new ideas with my team and I have already been given projects to work on. I also really like that I have my own desk/work space that I can make my own!

I really enjoy the atmosphere and positive energy that is created by the staff.  Such an amazing group of passionate individuals that are dedicated to supporting families with child development and community resources.  

Management and frontline staff are creative, fun and really good at what they do. 

Management is very approachable and supportive.
 
The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing children smile and being able to help families connect with resources.
