I enjoy how busy I am and the fact that I get to analyze/create various reports (excel files) etc. 
having the knowledge and then some. It is very rewarding learning so many things  and applies into it.

I don’t think I’d enjoy my job as much if I didn’t get to dig into interesting problems that others don’t really know how to solve.

My favorite part of my job is the ability to work independently (trust from my superior/boss) 

My organizational skill is one of my greatest strengths. I restructured the office filing system & electronically to make it easier to access contracts and information quickly and efficiently. This experience will enhance my performance in this position because I'm able to keep things organized and neat, which means I get more tasks completed in a shorter amount of time.
My ability to work with many different people. I enjoy learning from everyone I meet, and in this position I believe that will enhance my ability to perform on the team.

My greatest strength is my ability to focus on my work. I'm not easily distracted, and this means that my performance is very high, even in a busy office like this one.

I sometimes overdo getting my work done ahead of time. However, I am excellent at meeting deadlines, and with my attention to detail, I know my work is correct.

Sometimes, I spend more time than necessary on a task, or have volunteered to take on tasks personally that could easily be handled by someone else in the office.

Good team and supportive managers. The company also organizes great staff events with high-level service at restaurants and the waterpark — it makes you feel valued.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?

Sometimes the workload could be physically demanding and time-sensitive, especially during busy periods. You need to stay focused and work quickly to meet expectations.

A typical day involved preparing rooms, checking standards, and helping guests with requests. I worked efficiently with the team to meet daily goals and supported new staff during training.

Working at Fantasy Land was a good experience in terms of learning to provide quality customer service. They had a good training system to instruct employees on how to effectively deal with unsatisfied and difficult customers. The hours were long and rather inconvenient for me being that I was a full time student. Due to the fact that they were not able to allow me to work the specific times in the week that I needed, I was unable to keep working for them. The job is rather fast paced because you are constantly on call to book rooms for customers who phone in as well as customers who book rooms online. At the same time there are many side duties such as processing online credit card authorizations, filing revenue reports and updating the hotels room availability status through their "555" software system.

It’s an okay place to work, decent hours and it pays the bills. I have also made quite a few friends while working here… BUT the very busy days can be very overwhelming. They expect you to get tasks done right away even though their elevators and machines in laundry are constantly breaking down, but they’re kind of cheap and won’t properly fix things… They also don’t like when their sick and tired employees need a day off and they expect a doctors note every single time. It’s also hard when you only have one day off a week and you don’t get much time to spend with your family or take care of yourself. Profits over people basically.

Staff fight with each other and management take side if their favourite staff. No seniority privileges. No confidentiality among staff, human resource and especially management. Human Resources are on the managers side but THEY will deny it. Managements don’t care about your life (if you requested a day off and they need you, you will not get the time off. If you have an issue with staff from different department your managers will be talking with you. No benefits and health care. I DON’T recommend it for anyone to be there

Management takes advantage of you to the fullest extent. If you accept to cover one shift expect that they will schedule you overtime all the time and recently they weren’t even paying for overtime! They will take the guests side over any employee even when the guest harasses you. They play favourites and will move mountains for those people. 

The people I worked with were great and very supportive; it’s unfortunate management could not be the same. 

I've been working with fantasyland hotel for almost a year now. Its such a great company to work with. I can honestly say that its my favorite job/company to work with. I work with such great people and my co-workers are such AWESOME!!! it's like we are one big happy family. 

hardest part???? If any, weekend offs are hard to come by. then again, that's expected when working in a 24 hour operated company. However, my supervisors/managers always try their best to give you the preferred time you would like to work.

Management favours people of their race or culture. Only certain people receive help when they need it others are left to struggle and fail. Supervisors set people up to fail and either quit or get fired because they don't like the person. Bullies are not dealt with they are left to continue bullying others. This place starts out really good and once they figure out what kind of person you are then it becomes almost unbearable.

Leadership skills from management are sorely lacking, there is a toxic seniority culture and as a result staff is often made to  feel unsure about job security. Expectations from higher ups are almost never clearly outlined, though punishments for "misunderstanding" are common. 
Due to a lack of staff, scheduling is often inconsiderate of employees work-life balance. (ex: Being scheduled for a shift that ends at midnight and another immediately after that begins at 8am.


Job starts usually at 8:30am. There is a 30 minute meeting & training session, where we discuss about the previous day's work, and plan the present day's work. Work starts after that, and I work with one of my co-workers, cleaning the rooms. The management is very fluid, and the co-workers are co-operative and friendly. The hardest part of the job is finishing the job withing given timeframe. The most enjoyable part of the job is to be able to work in a good, safe and comfortable environment.
