Firstly you must go through a very vigorous welding "course" to re-learn how to weld, even if you have 25 years experience the instructor will talk to you as though it is your first day at any job. If you make it past that, without walking out, your in for a surprise, at first it seems like a good place, you quickly learn it is a very bad working environment, For starters if your a welder, you won't weld until you learn how to kiss the "team leaders" a**. At first you will be a machine operator, they won't give you a chance to weld because of favoritism, next be prepared for a super human work pace environment, meaning you have to weld faster than any robot, the tolerance for the welds is very small, yet you only have seconds to perform miracles, physically it is impossible to accomplish what they want you to do, but the team leaders earn extra money to push you without crossing the abusive barrier. The work site is hot, very hot, they don't even give you a chance to stay cool or hydrated, you will work 3 hours non stop and then get a 10 min break. Also if you are early for work, you will be punished. You have to be there exactly at shift start, if you are early they will scream and yell at you, scold you in the office, and degrade and humiliate you so you understand you are nothing but a stupid welder. Be prepared to be treated like a dog. I would rather cut my hands off then go work there again for another minute. They are like a little click, if you don't conform to there circle of cool people, your treated like an outsider, The team leaders know everything, you know nothing. Team leaders don't follow the rules, but you must do everything as though you were born with a Faurecia rule-book glued too your a**. Team leaders can change the rules to suit their mood. Everyone will back-stab you for a dollar. The best way to describe working here, is like a prison camp in North Korea, where you are an infidel and they hate you.

Working for this company has been an incredibly positive experience overall. It is truly a great organization to be a part of, and one of the main reasons is the genuine care and concern shown by the management team. They don’t just view employees as numbers but as individuals with potential, goals, and unique strengths. The management consistently made an effort to listen, provide guidance, and offer opportunities for personal and professional growth.

One of the aspects that stood out the most was their commitment to internal progression. Employees were encouraged to develop their skills, take on new challenges, and move up within the organization. There was a clear focus on building people up rather than keeping them in one role. The supportive and inclusive culture made it easy to approach supervisors or managers with ideas, feedback, or concerns, and they always responded constructively. Overall, it’s a company that values teamwork, growth, and genuine employee well-being — a rare and admirable combination in today’s workplaces.

To make quality parts while hitting hourly targets per hour, I have learned many things how to work a mig and robotic welders, how to use different tools to perform quality checks to spec, how to perform lockout procedures, FIFO (first in, first out). how to handle problems that arise on and off line. WIMS training. My co-workers to me make my day, they play a big part of how a team will work good together. I found that the only thing that was hard about the job was the amount of overtime I had to put in over the years, I do like my over time. Once again I enjoyed working with the people they became a part of my extended family everyone gets along great there.

Plan builds for trucks, organize people, deal with quality/ engineering issues. Conduct change-overs on lines, training of new employees, all paperwork relating to lines and production.
Learned to organize, make decisions quickly and effectively. Work closely with all support staff, quality,enfineering, health and safety, maintenance, materials.
Got along well with management and co-workers, with-out letting it interfere with my position and responsibilities.
Training new employees while still needing to maintain quality and necessary daily production targets.
Because of the fast pace and the demand to meet trucks there was never time to get bored. It was always a race against the clock to accomplish the days production but I have always worked well under pressure.

This place was honestly the worst place I have ever worked the management was awful they do not care about safety one bit nor do they care about you this place is not a “family” don’t let them trick you with that they cut corners at any thing they do and pls if you work there and they promise anything get it in writing because if you don’t they will screw you over and not give you anything like. They did to me they will make you work till you can anymore doing 4 jobs and once expected not to be paid more and no one know anything there like I mean from the top the guy running this place is looking at how they can cut and steal anything it’s insane like I said the only good thing about this place is the friends I made but honestly it’s not worth it to go through all that to do this job honestly I could go on and on but I’m not working there anymore and I could not be more happy I’m not there

there was many different jobs withhin Faurecia. What i did before i was laid off was. handling the unpainted chair frames from the welder, and hanged them onto a conveyor. The chairs, then went around into a washer, a dryer, then a powder coat. The coat would be heated up in a oven than adhered to the metal that would produce a coat of paint.My fellow employees and i would then take the final producct and organize then into the appropiate aisles
  I have learned how organization and team work is vital especially in a factory.I got along well with my coworkers, and is there was any inncidents i followed proper procedures, however i do prefer to deal with problems with other face on. I dont want to take about management. This was the only company that i know of that kept the doors locked to the HR office. to employees.
After over ten years, I have to say that its the people that made it enjoyable

Faurecia overall was a great place to work.  

I would arrive at work and hold a Top 5 meeting for my staff.  
Everything from Safety incidents to expectations of daily performance were communicated to staff.
I was responsible for controlling production to facilitate the shipment of finished goods to the customer in the most efficient and cost saving methods available.

I liaised with management, planners, production supervisors daily to ensure adherence to company policies.

It was hard work and long hours but you did get a feeling of satisfaction knowing the job was well done everyday.

It's a shame Faurecia is closing.

Begins from 3pm to 11pm and I love t because its a very busy place, and no time to waste with idle talks.
Management is a very great team, made of simple and co-operative persons, who will do the best to see how the staff become goal oriented. Safety at work is a major priority, apart from productivity.
The difficult part in this place, is to handle two tasks at the same time. To deal with the clients, one is required to perform a dual task, of monitoring the broadcasts from clients, while responding to customers at same time. You have to be fast and focused, to be able to meet-up with the demands of the job, as errors will lead to high costs. It gives meritorious growth opportunities, which I greatly loved.

I worked for this place for roughly a year. After some time a temp employee who regularly worked there started to harass me and the HR Department did nothing to address the issue. The culture is day and afternoon shift is not productive but the night shift is. The hardest part of your job is being able to do it without discrimination. It is an entry level job without any specific skills needed. The better your manual dexterity the more you're liked. The more you ignore your rights the more your liked. The moment you want any right - such as the right to not be harassed they will fire you. Real shame.

A typical day consisted of a brief meeting regarding the previous days activities, any accidents that occurred, things that required improvement and any site news.  Then safety checks on equipment would be performed.  first parts were taken and check for quality.  regular production then began. Learned how to identify and fix faulty welds. Learned to multi-task.  Management was supportive and there when you needed them.  Worked with a lot of great people.  The hardest part of the job was the physicality of it.  Very hard on the body.  Easy to develop repetitive stress injuries.  The people I directly worked with were the best part of this job.
