Federal Election

Received incoming calls on my computer, recorded responses to registration of voters form, provided information on candidate for their riding.
Work was timed from time of incoming call to completion of form.
Calls could be monitored live by management/supervisors.
Feedback from supervisors was quick, accurate and helpful.
Learned about the system I accessed upon which to record information. Ably assisted by their call centre if computer difficulties arose.

Overall, it was a good experience especially when it was my first time working at the Canadian federal election 2019. I was a Information Officer. My duties were to direct the electors to their proper poll or to the registration officer if needed. I also did any other tasks that was assigned directly to me. I did all of these duties competently and with a very pleasant and helpful attitude. It

This was a highly-responsible job and was open to those who were able to do the job, whether they had prior experience or not.

A good way to learn about guest service, crowd control, and accounting.

I worked as a Poll Clerk during the Federal Election in Barrie, Ontario. I crossed off the names of the voters on the sheet. Being part of the election gave me an understanding of how the election is organized. This understanding will help me explain how elections work to students.

I learned to be reliable and dependable and how to interact with the public.

since it was only for one day, the elections were very faced paced and tiring since it was an all-day thing and you couldn't really have any breaks or lunch in between. the only time you could really take a break was when it was slow and there were not that many people coming in.

I learned how to communicate more with people, there were a lot of voters at the Templeton Polling place. I had long hours (11 hours) that day, but it was a fun experience. The hardest part of the job was not knowing cantonese/madarin. The enjoyable part was interacting with the voters for a few minutes.

Very demanding job, that provides lots of experience. Need to ber very flexible, able to do lots of different jobs required by you. Learned how to deal with all types of people. Very relaxed and fun workplace culture, however slacking off is not tolerated.

Very long days working approximately 12 hour days for 10 straight days.  Very fast paced and busy registering the public and enabling them to vote in the election prior to election day.  Also traveled to another location and held an advance poll at a local college.

I worked in the constituency main office where by all the community residents came by my office to make appointments , supported them with Immigration , Canada pension plans ,passport needs, Canada post and all kind of Federal matters.

I worked at the advanced polls & the day of the election.  It can be stressful at times but I had a great team & we worked well together with problem solving & making sure all citizens were able to vote.
