I was referred to this position by a talent agency and immediately that should have been a red flag. For the two months that I was working on contract things went very well and I'd like to think I was proving my worth by completing my shifts faster than the other drivers helping out where I could generally trying to get my shift all finished at the same time. Almost immediately after signing on to a permanent position everything started to change. We originally had three drivers on night shift and one was removed so there were two of us and two pickers left to do the work of three teams. Along with that I've been switched from driving a newer truck to an old piece of junk. Was also constantly asked to stay late even though I was working 10-12 hours every day and completing nearly two full routes of the three that we were sharing. It got to be too much to ask when they one day meet an arrangements that we would help out on Tuesday but wouldn't be asked to stay late again, and the next day we're asked to start staying late again.

Very large runs and poor management they don't protect the drives only management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Is supposed to be a team but it feels like everyone is against eachother

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start at 6:30 get to your run and try to make it to the landfill at 5:30

What is the best part of working at the company?
I don't work there anymore. However the part I enjoyed the most was the valuables found in the trash. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management is abit lax in the safety department 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly amongst the staff but management has work to do as far as safety goes 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long,  tiring, unsafe and mechanically unsound trucks.

Worked incredibly long hours without proper amount of time off between shifts,wage was awful but the best part was that they couldn't even pay me the hours i was owed,for the past two weeks i have been on the phone  constantly trying to get whats owed,in conclusion i was told i'll get around 40 percent of what i'm actually owed,no choice but to go to ministry of labor N.B,

fast paced and deadlines,heavy lifting. up early to be on site.
Crews usally work well together so to help the other trucks. teamwork is a big player in this, so you can bet you will do your part after your run at times.
Its not a bad gig

I left because of favoritism between dispatch and other drivers and also attitude from dispatch was not professional. The early morning also played a part in my decision, to hard to manage family time.

Overall it's not a bad place to work if you want No Life... management needs to listen to their employers more though hey.. When there's no job security new hires get the better jobs sometimes doesn't matter and more money

Hard work but always work available. Management was more than fair. Seemed to be a tightly run (and culturally diverse) crew of men and women who work together efficiently to achieve common goals.

Good place to work the people was great to work with 
Great hours weekends off to spend with family
holiday times are great 
can work well around days off
have weekends off

This job is one of the worst I've had.
Hard on your body.
No consistency from management.
The favourites do what they want including harming employees. Do not recommend.
