The care for employees really is at a minimum with the management. Not sure there is a interview process when hiring people, because quite a bit of the people that get hired truly are terrible workers. They will also hire someone with mental disabilities, not make it aware to you that they suffer from something, and expect you to work with the individual. I understand we must be fair in life and polite, but you should not have someone who cannot read properly, in a department where they need to read very often. Also, even when workers who aren’t doing the job properly and are terrible workers are complained about, almost nothing is ever done. ESPECIALLY if they are close to management or have some sort of connection, whether their parent shops there or whatever the case. No employee discount, they don’t care for the people who work outside in the heat in the summer, the poor guys can’t even wear shorts, it’s ridiculous. Customers harass and abuse the workers all the time, ESPECIALLY cashiers, and NOT ONCE was the customer ever at fault and told to leave the store. Refusal of service is never an option, because they really just don’t care how their workers feel. Work at the place, and you are GUARANTEED misery.

I have multiple friends who work/worked there in several departments that were not cashier (which i was) and their hours, breaks, and overall management was nowhere near as harsh as the cashier's. Head cashiers are often rude and unsympathetic but it's really a toss up with them. Customers are some of the rudest people I have ever met the less you interact with them the better. Also they pay students under 18 "student's minimum wage" which is less than normal minimum wage because it's legal but it's honestly not enough for the literal verbal fire was put through by the customers. Decent student job, hours are good and they're relatively flexible although i had to firmly explain personal and familial problems multiple times to let them think about me having a day off, sometimes they did not believe me. Don't be a cashier and you'll be fine good luck 

You meet some great people here. I have made a lot of great friends working at fiesta and everyone is very friendly and nice. Only problem is the upper management. I found the managers within departments to be quite understanding and fun. But the upper management was a mess! They didn’t even understand the duties of workers but would constantly criticize us and say completely unprofessional and downright rude things. One thing I learned here was to never go above and beyond, because even if you did for years they would not give you any compensation - not even a thank you. The hours are good and they are relatively good at sticking to your availability. The only reason I stayed was because of the hours. Also the owner would come in to terrorize the staff which was the most stressful thing ever. 
Would i recommend? If you really need a job sure. But if you have other options run away. 

Ok to be fare I am 14 and might not might have been to stressted because im young, but from what I heard they bring in 2 to 3 people at once and are happy if one of them stays for more than a year. The manager serge is loud and will get mad at you but it's no that bad. They are very disorganized and want you to do things in a unrealistic amount of time. I asked one of the employies what he thought and he said "just go as fast as you can but it is really unrealistic". I would recomend working in grocery or gardens. Do not work at produce. One time I came in and the manager said that I work tommorow even though the email that they sent me was for today. Overall bad managment and would not recommend for young people especially for produce. Long hours and no benifits and almost no breaks on most days.

my daily duties consisted of facing and restocking shelves which was my primary duty and closing duties included sweeping of receiving area and bail disposal. After working at fiesta farms my organization skills improved juristically and time management as well the management team was very good and understanding all of their decisions were ethical and they were not biased. the workplace environment was very welcoming and  easygoing.
my most enjoyable part of my job was the customer service i provided being able to help others with the product knowledge i gained from fiesta farms.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nice coworkers, but awful management. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management was extremely passive aggressive and seemed to operate on power tripping minimum wage employees. Reasonably making scheduling requests, even with more than enough notice and through the proper process, was extremely difficult.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very sweet team overall with a sense of community between departments, other than the management attitude. Employees are expected to work unrealistic schedules, despite promises of flexibility for students.

working in the garden centre is a nightmare. the sun is beating down on you all day, you do hard labour for garbage pay, extremely boring, unhelpful management and overall a horrible place to work. my first shift there i had 3 panic attacks, coworkers are nice but the work conditions hardly make it worth it. there was also absolutely no gender neutral washrooms, so i had nowhere to go and everyone misgendered me even when i sign off my emails with my pronouns

The typical day of the job consists of always helping customers. Whenever a customer approaches me  I greet them respectfully and aid them in any questions or concerns they may have. While working here I have learned how to become a better team leader and also how to work better in a team with all my co-workers. The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to interact with so many customers of such different backgrounds and sometimes learning new information from them.

It being a grocery store already makes the work more fast paced as you're constantly having to clean and fix anything on site. The hours are flexible however and the work isn't anything complicated, the staff are friendly as well it's a very friendly environment. Management is management, long as you're on time and working hard they are pretty lenient.

staff are often rude and inconsiderate. 
the entire co-op is extremely unorganized, and they send the work schedule sometimes only 1 day before your Monday shift. 
students get paid less for the same labour as people who are older.
