My experience working here as a mechanical assembler was very disappointing. Out of roughly 12 assemblers, very few employees appeared to have been there longer than a couple of weeks, which created a difficult training environment.

There seemed to be very little structured training or clear instruction from management, and newer employees were often expected to train other new employees. This led to confusion during assembly work and mistakes that later needed to be corrected.

I also experienced what felt like an unhealthy workplace culture involving frequent yelling, workplace tension, and HR acting on accusations without giving me much opportunity to respond or provide my side of the situation before my employment was terminated during probation.

It also appeared that many higher-level employees had close personal or family connections within the company, which contributed to an environment that felt heavily based on favoritism rather than professionalism.

Some employees were kind and helpful, but overall I did not feel the workplace was organized, supportive, or professionally managed.


Organization at this place is terrible. Everyone is always scrambling around trying to get things done, if they’ve even gave you the work orders. The work Was good other than that. The people there are generally good to work with except management. To me, I felt like they are corrupt and very biased and not fair to a lot of employees. Also, unless you’re a friend of the family, there’s no way you could move up.  However, the money was decent, the hours were good but there is no way I could sleep at night recommending this place to work.

I was fired today after requesting medical leave for my medical disability. I sent an email to HR requesting a couple months off to receive treatment. I was asked if I could provide a Doctors note, and I was more than happy to oblige, the next day, however, I was given one week in lieu of Notice. No explanation was given, no reason was given. 

While I worked there,  at least one person a month was fired, or escorted from the building for the smallest reason.

1 year of employment for 1 week vaction.

10 years for 3 weeks

25 years for 5 weeks.

they don't care about their employees, you're a salve nothing more.


I've worked for Filtrek for a few months now. I haven't really learned much from this job, it's simply going in and do what you gotta do a type of work.   

The best part of the job was consistent hours with optional overtime.

The hardest/worst parts about the job are how many tripping hazards there are, no one seems to pick up after themselves and I've seen a few people almost get seriously hurt because of it. 

Also, a lot of employes and folks in management act very immature and unprofessional both towards each other and towards the job in general, It feels like I'm back in Highschool with a bunch of rowdy teens.

I liked working hard and I got to do that a lot.  I feel this company is not stable in so many areas it’s toxic.  I have a business management background and specialized in operations management.  I learned a lot and solidified some things I already knew.  Overall lots of very nice people here.  Supervisor needs retraining.  I don’t like him never did.  I’m the guy who can’t stomach incompetence and he was really bad at his job.  

I work in accordance with my schedule and organize my tasks to ensure I can make all the required ship dates and goals. I am in contact with management regularly. I have made a strong bond with my co-workers. Errors on blueprints and unrevised drawings are the most difficult part of my job. Welding and fitting various types of metals and working on new projects is the most enjoyable part of my job.

Overall great place to weld for if you can do the job. Very minimal training other than a day or 2 with a top welder working with on what they currently have on the go. They need a better training program and job procedures for basic tasks. People are always happy to give a hand when needed but that doesn’t fully replace training.

Absolutely nothing.  Terrible work environment.

Dealing with management and workers.

Extremely unorganized and they lie to everyone.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Having to keep yourself busy. No organization. Everything last minute

At first the place seemed normal enough.  However after a few months you notice that there is an us and them mentality pervasive from the top down.  This company defines the process of nepotism and cronyism.  If you are not a family member, friend of the family, or high school peer of the owners son you are in for a tough ride. My advice is to avoid this place for you own good.

-Making sure all ITP's are filled out.
-Making sure all NDT is done on required jobs.
-All co-workers enjoy me as their boss.
