They recently opened a new plant.  There are two factories in Richmond.

I don't know about the old plant, but for the new plant, a typical day would be that the management or supervisor have a short discussion with the team about the daily target and safety related issues before the start of each shift.

I learnt to be a better communicator when I am working at this place.  Yes, this is a factory job, but it still requires basic communication with each team member.  After all, we are working as a team.  It is not just about making and packing food.  It is about team work.

The management emphasizes on safety and quality a lot.  Yes, it is important to meet target, but priority is safety and quality. 

The culture is pretty good.  Occasionally, we have pizza.  We also celebrate different holidays, such as Christmas and New Year - red pocket to each staff, yay!

The hardest part of the job is asking new employees to pack the food; some of them cannot keep up the pace; however, it is still manageable. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is able to work in a team environment.  It is not a one man job.  We have to work in a team.

A typical day of work checking for PPE, set up work area etc.

I learned time management skills, attention to details etc. 

Management is only there to give instructions to workers.

Work culture and pay need to improve a lot. New workers are not treated with respect and yelled at . Pay is just few cents above minimum wage. 

Hardest part of the job is time. We have very little time to complete tasks sometimes. 

Most enjoyable part of job is going home after long, physically demanding, heavy work.

They have poor management as of supervisors as there is none for sanitation shift , and for a position like this they hire through aerotek which also has a poor communication with management at company often being too rigid to employees to much stressful work compared to other sanitation jobs not recommended at all and for a pay like 19.10 never but  Ryen at upper management is a good person.

Worked here a day less than 3 months. Had a couple bully co workers and manager out of two hundred and they got me laid off. Basically the bullies did not like caucasians. 

Otherwise it was a fun job but very fast paced. Can even get big discounts if you like Asian food.

Everyone seems to be so partial, especially the production associates, it’s surprising, because during the training they promised that there will be no partiality. 
Your work here is not appreciated, nobody will trust you. The work is tiring, but easy. 


I loved working in Fine Choice Foods. I was there for short term but felt like home and had a very understanding, cooperative management. Even though it was a fast paced , high volume work environment, but still I could feel that they respect what I was doing. 

A welcoming company and employees group of people to work with. A professional work environment. A company that cares greatly about its employees. Great place to start out with to learn about manners and professionalism.

I did sanitation and cleaned the machines. Learned to use the lift machine operator. Hard to use the machines. Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation duties. Maintain a safe and clean work space

the workplace is cold and lifting special for new people, some departments just keep hiring people since there are some people working there for a long time and seem don't want new people to get in!!

I reviewed after 1 year. I have keep exercises in home.I believe  exercises can help my less physically attractive people. and less press. The most important keep  communication with company and team members.  Less stress and more peace.
