Great Vision, Awesome Team and amazing peers at work all of them is great 
have to work hard and smart they observe they reward. when field is fertile of opportunities the best goes mile ahead they see and let you explore internally if you have potential.   



What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Weather is the most stressful part as its uncontrollable and puts a hard challenge ahead for operations which is considered as backbone of the Airline  and really it is, you need to be vigilant for many aspects related to ramp specially time, security and self protection and contributing your 100% in best of its form.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Simply Awesome, I like it, every one from higher position to lower all are glittering stars really awesome people.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Simply i would say You must be willing by heart to perform the best what ever comes your way.

Working at Canadian North HQ is a mixed bag, it's located in Kanata which is nice for comuting, but the office enviroment is lacking. During my 4 months at the company I saw my manager three times. The team is supportive but there is always tons of work to be done. The company deals with a lot of paper instead of digitizing as much as possible. you're typically on your own, however if your stuck your co-workers are happy to help. if its your first job outside of college i highly recommend it, but if you're looking to be a lifer i wouldnt recommend it.

Nepotism and favouritism run strong in this place, not sure of the other stations, Iqaluit is a place of pure misery if you don’t know or get in the good graces of their “coordinators” or “duty supervisors”.  In fact it seems as though the entire management consists of a “good ol’ boys club”.  Now granted, there are some good people there who treat people with respect and care, unfortunately, these are the people who don’t last long.  Suffice I would not recommend working here, unless you’re a resident of the maritimes. That being said, if you do go there, ask why you don’t see any Inuit supervisors.

It WAS a great company before merging with First Air. Not so great anymore.

Working with an obnoxious pilot

It was great at the time but has changed so much when First Air took the original CN culture away and forced there own with the company 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Some very long days but was the best job I ever had

Human Resources at this Company is run by unqualified, partial individuals who promote within based on whether they like you or not.  The Executive is not concerned with Employee satisfaction or work life balance.  Way too much personal office politics in this Company.

Everything and everyone . We made a milestone

Whhen the same people call in sick

Positive and rewarding. Every day is a new day

50/50 we make work fun and worth working hard for

Managers micro management  and showing favoritism towards certain employees

Toxic and multinational employees




What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Slow and boring for half the day

Lazy workers find ways to stay while good workers quit and join other airline companies.  Fire the Lazy keep the hard workers. Otherwise the flow of people quiting and hireing will continue like the flow if water.  Give Night shift premiums and an incentive to want to work.
So many supervisors and long chain of command that by the end of communication its muttled, and unclear what needs to get done.

Management is sleeping together pressure employees management is very vengeful if coordinators and managers don't like you they will make your life at work miserable also the company shouldn't hire someone in the position especially if they are sleeping and living together it's happening now

I worked for First Air for 28 years, this was all before the merger of First Air - Canadian North.
I was laid off before the merger, so I cannot answer anything about the current company.
The employees were the reason to  work there, a family.
I miss that family.
