Management is the big issue at this shop. It's a do what I say, not what I do atmosphere. Family run, and seem friendly at first, but the family tends to simply run over its employees. The turnover is high. They have made many un-fulfilled promises to a lot of employees, who have been forced to leave, when they stand up for themselves. The expectations are to make work your life, where less than 10 to 12 hour days are frowned upon. If you choose to work here, make sure anything you agree to is in writing. They will go back on their word otherwise.  They say quality work is their standard, but sadly, it's whatever and whoever can hack out the most work possible that gets the pat on the back. Corners are cut, and lack of knowledge is evident. Quality technicians and apprentices would do well to avoid this company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I have never worked in a place that has made me feel as welcomed as I was at Fix Auto Sherwood North. I always enjoyed going into work while I was working there.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
For me it was just learning a whole new career. I have never really experienced this type of work as it was new to me.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They had the best culture and work environment that I have ever worked in. The owners were right there working along side of you.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Was busy, but busy is very good!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The company was good to work for until the shop moved and some people got more power. Then the three licensed guys sat around while the apprentice and a guy who wasn’t even an apprentice got the work. They do not care for the men you are just a number

The production manger and the general manager pretend to be your friend and then tell the big boss lies about you

It’s all about money. No extras.

Started working here with no prior experience.
Was a great learning experience of taping and prepping bumpers of cars. However after a few weeks, all owner cared about was numbers and pumping out cars as fast as possible, to the detriment of quality of work. Also didn’t help that shop foreman was owners brother and was a micro manager. Also didn’t end up getting paid for the last few days I had worked there.



as long as I got the chance to work there, I was giving a great opportunity to learn a lot through the management system and the people in which whom I worked with, I was also givin lots of time to learn how to properly dispose of and clean industrial strength chemicals and gained a lot of muscle from the tasks I was given. 
I have a lt of respect for this company and use them as one of my main references.

The earnings can be good, always work to do

Poor management, poorly organized as manager is very young and absolutely no experience.

Okay, lack of knowlege on managements part leads to stress in the workshop

Frustrating as there cab be no fluent plan making for less productive days

I was a painter at the Mississauga north location the manager is terrible not a good person they lie to customers they don't use the clear coats they say they do. They use very cheap clear coat I know I was forced to use it for the 2 years I was there. They pay very low . If you go there u should ask for them to show u the clear coat they use. U will be surprised it is really bad clear coat . They also dump all solvents in the garbage please at all cost do not go there . There r a lot better shops that r honest.

-Work environment was stressful.
-Parts were often not ordered. 
-Lots of damage was missed by the estimator (improper sheets were written.) 
-Shop routine was often change and caused confusion.
-Management was unreasonable.
-Management encouraged corner cutting which delayed the final product in the long run.
-Fellow shop workers were supportive with questions and tips.

there is a double standard they hire unskilled people to stand around and do nothing then hire canadians to do those peoples jobs. management is clueless never worked in a body shop b4. office staff changes almost weekly. the production manager is totally clueless. they lie to you about wages and raises every pay you have to spend an hr getting what they owe you only to get it taken off your pay a month or so down the road with no explanation 

Working on an assembly line pressured to make deadlines though sometimes unobtainable because of poor management, employees passing blame, while chaos ensues from the office staff. Was found to be unequal pay grades amongst staff with equal experience and expectation. Employer also rarely gives out raises and hires inexperienced workers to keep labor costs down.
