Fleet Brake

I worked here for a while. It was a great experiance in fortifying my skill set, however, the work was heavy, and some times cumbersome.  Pretty old shop with poor lighting. That being said, the wage was decent a d the benifits were good.
The work would come in waves. Some time busy as heck for a week or to and then drop off to nothing. 
There is always one guy who never works, or cleans up after him self,  i found him. And they promoted him. 
The manage ment know every thing untill there is a come back or somthing breaks, then they know nothing about it. 

Pretty stingy on providing lunch more than twice a year. 
But you get a great deal on parts for your car or truck.

There is a lot of micro management going on at this location.

Unprofessional / immature.  Picking up phones to transferring calls no hello. Voicemails full / calls not returned. People dresseing like they are homeless.Rude to vendors and people around them.  Uneven work load. If you take holidays expect  to.come back to no one having helped you and being written up for being behind. Company emails used for personal use. Facebook notifications, family correspondence shopping etc. One long time employee takes smoke breaks every half hour to 45 minutes setting garbage can on fire regularly. A few set own hours, leave early and late daily. Manage & HR does nothing constant fighting. If the owner wanted to save money install a internet monitoring program, etc. See where it's wasted

Very unprofessional place to work, warehouse is messy all the time, front store area is messy, sales people are unprofessional, and don't know what they are doing. Management is a joke, they dont care about anything other then saving a few bucks. VERY money orientated, the company cares more for its money then you. Don't expect things or equipment to get fixed.

No company lunches, poor wages, shop fills with carbon monoxide in the winter, what safety program is in place is stuff the company made up, not what is actually right.

I was outside sales. So leaving to see my customers was my highlight. Hated being in the store

B2B sales calls. Outside sales

heavy lifting repetitive tasks. good 1st or 2nd year shop to apprentice. hired as journeyman welder and completed 2 levels of apprenticeship. needed to make gains in other areas of trade. shop is one dimensional

Micromanaged. management doesnt help employees. Was usually short staffed. Pay isnt competitive and dont expect to get a raise. Managers will second guess your work and expect you to work late all the time

Old school shop and old school job. Pay was excellent and shop foreman was knowledgable. The work was Very demanding, mainly spring and bushing work on garbage trucks and highway tractor/trailer units.

Like i agree im at the bottom of the list as a aprentice and i will sweep the floors. but if im hired as a aprentice, at least have me paired up with the technician everyday for an hour

Good company to work for.  The crew at Fleet Brake becomes like a second family to you.  Great staff to work with.  The management there is awesome too.

It's nice and good to work at Fleet Brake good workplace shop, all workers is nice environment,  i just want to a bigger company to challenge my ability and knowledge
