A typical day at work was either stacking parts at the end of a press, or maybe running a hand transfer press, it could also be working on a robotic welder.
I learned to work fast, and manage my time so i have time to inspect my parts as they come towards me or finish at the welder.
My management was very respectable, such as; if you were nice to them, they were nice to you.
The hardest part of the whole job would probably be the heat.
The most enjoyable part of the day was fixing changing weld tips, or changing the coil in a press. although its down time which is bad it was nice to change up the routine a bit.

Not sure how some of the management, supervisors and lead hands got there jobs. You always have some good ones and some that don't have a clue and to be honest Fleetwood has a lot that don't have a clue. Fleetwood has a handful of people that know what they are doing and that try to keep the place running right. Management makes mistakes weekly and then gets the employees to fix everything. If you like working 6 to 7 days a week, being called in short notice and fixing other people's problems for them look no further Fleetwood is the place for you.

Fleetwood was a challenging and demanding organization to work for; Work area assignments were conducted at the start of the shift with little or no training, work was instructed by the plan of the work for the area.
The Variety made for a stimulating learning experience every day, even given the occasional confusion that would be expected to go along with continuous change.

Fleetwood was very good to me while I was employed there. It is nice that the plant manager knows your name and you aren't just a number. They gave me the opportunities to work in different departments and gain experience in those departments. My co workers were like an extended family and I made quite a few long lasting friendships while I was there.

high paced, stressful most days depending on what job you do, highest manager needs to be replaced so the team atmosphere and demand of product can be more easily obtained and organization would be better.  I learned alot there all in all and loved my job.

Horrible place to work, employees aren’t cared about anymore and treated like just a number. Hard work isn’t praised or valued by management. Rates are not at par with the rest of the stamping industry.

Decent job but little to no job security and room for advancement. The managers were friendly as well as your co-workers but there was a lot of unnecessary drama which took away from the overall job culture and environment.

It was long hours and not very friendly staff so it was a difficult place to work, the staff were not very specific with training which was hard for someone who has never worked in a company before.

Fleet wood metals was a very good first job for me . I learned how to do many diffrent jobs in a short period of time .It also helped me learn more about what I would like to do in the future

The management team gave me sufficient training and made sure I had enough tasks to make the work day productive. The hours were good and received a student wage.
