Persons in authority are bullies, only concerned about productivity. Threats of termination and the docking of one's wages is common.  When concerns and/or complaints are raised, they are often dismissed.
Although promoted as '#1', safety takes back seat to production. Safety issues are ignored or dealt with months later. Facts to upper levels, seem to be withheld or omitted. 
Old/outdated equipment that barely run or not replaced or repaired, properly. Company seems to care only about saving money anywhere it can so, one doesn't look bad or has to explain to upper levels, the reasons for the expenditures often at the cost of staffing and/or equipment.
When a position is vacant, those duties are often inherited by another who already has demanding & stressful duties. Declarations of promotion from within are false, (hasn't happened in over 6 yrs).  If one is good at one's job, company would rather keep the one in the position one has so, person of authority  don't have to take the time to fill and train a replacement.  Good, dedicated people are deliberately being 'held back'.
Morale is low amongst the staff. Staffing is already at 'Skeleton-crew' status. There have also been rumors of harassment by someone in a position of authority.  Many don't want to be there anymore due to the workplace culture of fear and intimidation of persons in authority.   Some are actively looking for employment elsewhere. 
"the hardest part of the job"; The dread one feels entering the building.
"the most enjoyable part of the job";  The relief one feels leaving the building, at the end of the work day.

Flexitallic is a fast paced manufacturing and warehousing company. A leading company in the sealing industry.  The majority of people that work here, have been here for years, some 25 plus years, always welling to stop and offer assistance and help. The amount of long term employees is a direct reflection of the company's commitment to their employees safety and well being. The leadership and management group are all approachable and easy to talk to. From what I have seen they promote from within and do tremendous amount of cross training  in other areas if you want too learn. The best part of the job are some of small gatherings they do from BBQ's to safety day event. Some of the product that is pulled can be heavy though for the most part is fairly easy going.

Management genuinely cares about its employees' growth and success. The company culture is vibrant and inclusive, fostering collaboration and innovation.

One of the standout aspects of working here is the emphasis on continual training opportunities, advancement and new challenges. The leadership team is incredibly supportive, always encouraging and recognize achievements, both big and small.

They promote a healthy, harmonious working environment.

There is a strong sense of community where colleagues are not just coworkers; they are friends who support one another and celebrate each other's successes. Teamwork is always at the forefront, working together and collectively striving to accomplish set goals.



If the warehouse supervisor has personal problems at home,  they bring it to work and take it out on you. No positive reinforcement, you just hear something when you made a mistake. Other wise nothing is said to you.  Only nice to you if they want you to work overtime but if you say no, your not treated nice. They promote that safety is first but when you bring stuff to their attention, nothing is done. Their safety meetings once a week are a joke. There are better companies to work for, don't apply here. 

All things to do with building and equipment maintenance. Project management of equipment installation and repair. I was alone in the maintenance department for the last several months and allowed to plan and exicute the maintenance program. I worked not only on the mechanical but also on some lite electircal work.

A lot of self taught information - not enough training for newer recruits. 
Focus on accuracy - overview board on mistakes can be very stressful and intimidating with amount of people involved in review , although they stress its not designed to be that way - 

I’ve never enjoyed a workplace so much!  At first it was actually a lil off putting but now I can seriously say it’s is the best large company I’ve ever worked for.  I enjoy everyone of my coworkers.  
Through out the Edmonton location,  there is a large number of workers that have been there anywhere from 5 to 20+ years. I love that!

Corporate goals about keeping overheads at a certain percentage, layoffs occurred with good sales and technical staff, lost key experienced people to corporate goals of % OH targets and mismanagement

Everyone working there for the most part is helpful, friendly and great to work with. Pay scale however leaves a lot to be desired. Hard to keep young and hungry people there if the salary can’t keep them interested. Too bad otherwise it’s a gray place to work. 

If you are not considered a “friend” by management you are flagged as not being a team player and will not be recognized. Impossible to get raises or career advancement.
