Flyer Force

I was given three deliveries a week for the neighborhood around my house. I would get around 10$ per delivery (this amount changed based off of the amount of paper being delivered) and I worked alone. I delivered around 200 flyers per delivery and it was a pretty decent job. I learned time management to manage proper delivery times and organizational skills when delivering to certain houses at a time. Around the winter time deliveries were more difficult (being under 18 and not able to drive), but nonetheless it was still decent for my age. My manager was very understanding when it came time to have difficulties delivering during harsh conditions or when I was ill. The hardest part of the job was delivering flyers to houses without a mailbox because I had to figure out a way to deliver the flyer (ie through the screen door or on the front step). The most enjoyable part of the job was being outdoors on the job.

Flyer force was a good place to work it was really easy, all you had to do was roll and deliver, they deliver the papers to you but you do the rest. The management was very strict, when I worked there they gave me 280 houses to deliver to and they told me it had to be done with in a time limit, you had to roll and deliver within 2 hours and I lived about 4-5 blocks from where I delivered so it was  hard working with them. The pay wasn’t much better, I was getting paid about 25c per house so at the end of every month I was only getting $80 maximum and it just wasn’t worth it so I quite at the end of the summer in 2015

I was ok with the work load even though I was delivering to around 80 houses monthly for only $40, and not just delivering but organizing, rolling, and wrapping each and every single flyer I delivered. It took me hours. My manager was terrible and would dump a lot of her work load on me out of laziness because she “couldn’t drive her truck on Evanston’s snowy roads.” During the winter, leaving me with up to an extra 90 papers to wrap and roll, only paying me and extra $30-40. The pay is rediculous for the amount of labour you are doing. 

I have not personally worked for them,  but I have family who have, and I’ve seen what they go through, and the pay is definitely not worth it. There are so many houses and the way that the pay works is insane. I know someone who gets paid every week, and I know someone else who only gets paid once a month. The same amount of houses for each, one gets $400 a week, and the other only gets $400 a month. Upon having to quit for health reasons, she is currently fighting to get her pay...... this is so not worth the hassle of everything and I highly recommend against working for them!

A typical day at work was Delivering flyers within my community twice per week. On occasion I was asked to deliver flyers for other areas in my community. Managed up to 3 areas per week Accurate and timely delivery as customer requested, mailbox vs. step Additional special delivers as needed

I learned that you should always put the flyers in the mailbox and not on the steps.

The hardest part of the job was making sure i got every house.

The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to walk around the community once a week.

This job is a good starter job for people or for those looking to make some extra money on the side. It is not stressful. Once flyers get delivered to your house you sort them and then deliver them to the addresses given by Thursday at 9. Depending on the number of home you have sorting takes 1-2 hours and delivery about the same. This job can be difficult in the cold and icy weather as you need to pull your flyer around in a wagon which can be dificult in challenging weather.

receive and sort flyers for up to 150 houses.  Requires a van or large vehicle to deliver flyers and took two individuals 2 hours to run to each house.

Hardest part of the job was sorting and packaging flyers.  Most enjoyable was the exercise.


Disappointed that management does not follow up with home owners who should receive flyers.  Quite certain most flyers are not delivered to homes and tossed into recycle bins. Those who deliver to my house deliver once a week in a small car.

The biggest benefit of this job is the opportunity it offers to our younger youth looking for a job (anywhere from 9-16 give or take), and allows them to find a confidence in doing work for pay, and to get a taste of what it means to put in hard honest work and reap the reward. It can be a fantastic first stepping stone for youth into a working force.

flyers is a good way to have a few money while young. they give little children to earn money and to have fun. Time management is not very necessary. Hardest part of the job is distributing in the harsh weather of winter. it is very tough. but it is a good exercise and relaxing job. Sometimes the manager may accuse me for delivering not delivering flyers at a important house or sometimes may not even deliver the flyers to me.

Every Monday and Tuesday at 3:00 PM my manager would bring assorted stacks of flyers to my house and I would have to organized them and make sure that there was one of each flyer in every bundle. Every Thursday I would deliver the bundles of flyers to around one hundred to two hundred houses and I would take approximately one to two hours doing so.
