Most people there love the work, have the passion and pride  for the job however unfortunately it’s management that causes issues. It’s empty promises of pay raises, performance reviews & advancement within the company. Lots of conflict of interest such as crew leads dating floor workers on the same shift, same department. Promises of long hours if “needed” however when work slows down they offer you, YOUR OWN. (sick day, personal day & or vacation choice) meaning you lose any of those benefits if you ever actually need them. We get paid less than average industry standard, and expects us to work hard & fast to get a plane ready when the result of that expectation is Anything but delusional. Aircraft moves are never on time which causes issues on getting a job that’s need to be completed for that day. Majority of the equipment/tools we need are old and dysfunctional but yet crewleads & management still agrees “they are working fine” how is it fine?? When a 10+ year old scissor lift covered in hard crud and batteries that never been serviced so the darn machine barley moves or go up is “fine”. 
Flex jet purchased the place since Flying colours original management ran it to the ground with bad business decisions and treating their staff like a “number” or “robot”
However the original management is still there and flex jet needs to fire them for things to start changing in the right direction, actually give employees the proper pay within the industry average, and upgrade our equipment. Offer long hours for those that are interested and with that, the positivity & morel would greatly change. 
You have some workers that take days off like it’s nothing they get a “talking” but then it’s back to the same routine again. But they still expect certain jobs to be “completed” that day. Even though the numbers have diminished for that same day or week. It’s a joke. As an employee there you work hard and show up but still get talked NEGATIVELY by crew leads & management. It’s all about favouritism there. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. employees that “injures” their knee or leg but still jumps on ladders and tables or runs doesn’t raise any red flags with crew leads or management and they still get treated better than majority of the workers there. Management doesn’t even say “good morning” “hello how are you” they just walk pass you in the hallway like some trash on the street. When you try to say good morning to them they are so glued to their phones they just either ignore you or pretend you’re not there. When it’s 5 minutes before breaks majority of everything stops and gets ready to go on said break but still get penalized because it’s not “break” time yet even though it’s TWO FREAKING MINUTES” before break or going home. Most of those management probably never did physical work in their life! So when someone just needs a break the same workers get into trouble. They also go so ridiculously far and time “bathroom breaks” which is pure insanity. 
It’s such a dysfunctional work environment because of management. And everyone I have spoken too doesn’t matter which department it is. Hopes flex jet clears out the entire management team that were originally flying colours and start fresh on top. Be very aware when coming to work here. 

Intro: I consider these 3 points to be the most important aspects of a career: Employer character, coworker character, and room for growth. 3/3 is great, 2/3 or maybe 1/3 are bearable, but 0/3 is unbearable. Unfortunately, FCC falls into the 0/3 category.

Employer Character: You’ll start off being told about opportunities to take part in test flights on aircraft you’ve worked on during the hiring process, which sounds amazing. However, unless you’re in a specialized role, this won’t be the case. The company also has a high turnover rate, and the leadership’s actions don’t always align with the instructions they provide. This can lead to confusion and frustration among staff, as they are left in uncomfortable situations.

Coworker Character: While there are some good people at FCC, the company struggles with accountability. This leads to a work culture where some employees face a lack of professional respect and poor treatment. HR doesn’t always take action on complaints, and there’s a general feeling of tension between departments, particularly in the paint department, where employees often report a toxic atmosphere. Many people find themselves disheartened by the environment, with similar sentiments echoed across various departments.

Room for Growth: FCC offers promises of opportunities for advancement and training. However, these promises are often not followed through, leaving employees feeling misled and stuck in their positions. The company seems to focus on keeping employees long enough to avoid their departure, but these tactics don’t lead to genuine career growth or development. This can create frustration for those looking for professional progression, with many opting to leave for better opportunities.

Conclusion: I moved to Peterborough and started working at FCC with a passion for airplanes, which has always been a significant part of my life. Unfortunately, this company’s leadership and culture make it difficult to maintain that passion in the long term. It’s clear to those around the company that it doesn’t have a strong reputation, which reflects the challenges employees face there. Despite the opportunity to work on high-value aircraft, the company’s internal environment and management issues make it a tough place to thrive. I strongly encourage potential employees to research carefully and consider other options before committing to FCC. Best of luck wherever else you apply!

Management is rude and incompetent. No one knows what’s going on and there is NO communication. You are expected to know everything, but it’s not the kind of job you learn overnight. And they don’t want to train you properly. Everything is disorganized. 

Bad workers are tolerated, and people abuse substances without any repercussions, which is dangerous since people work with dangerous chemicals, and heavy machinery.

Some of the employees are good, and friendly to work with but it’s a toxic environment overall. There is no respect.

Pay is awful. They promise raises with reviews, but they NEVER happen. There should be hazard pay if nothing else, because you handle cancerous materials, and the job wrecks your body. Considering clients pay FCC to work on their multi-million dollar planes you would think they would pay their “valued” employees more, or at the very least a liveable wage. 

Your safety is not their priority. They only care about the deadlines, and it always seemed like a job was being rushed.  


If you want to pour hard work and learning processes to get nowhere, this is the place for it management in this place half the time they don't even know what's going on, if your not a higher up in the company your not being treated like an employee really should, work is very demanding on the body sanding and buffing in the paint Dept, most times it's a time crunch and your skipping processes just to get through to just re paint or re do multiple paint jobs. It's a very underpaid job considering you are working on million dollar planes, looking around at painting jobs this is on the lower totem pole of what you should be getting paid. Working hard most the time gets you no where when the guy they just hired will probably make the same amount you make and do less than half the work, overall this place I would not recommend to anyone. The management and communication is horrible between depts and nothing flows smoothly.

Was a great career Choice in the past but a shift in management changed that .
In general the co workers are just great people, but upper management is a whole different experience.....
Overtime is expected without appreciation. 

Some extremely hazardous work environments. 

Constant exposure to solvents and cancer causing chemicals. 

Safety of employees comes 2nd to productivity and meeting deadlines. 

Raises are promised at certain milestones and achievement but are often not delivered. 

Cannabis friendly work environment....

To much to list .....

If you need to feed your family then sure they have lots of work. But if your looking for opportunity, advancement, appreciation, positive environment then I would look elsewhere. 



Overall this place is bad for your long term health. It could be a good place to work but they don’t make the effort to do things the right way the first time. Always a time crunch and redo’s all the time. Needs more organization and to think about the employees health and wellness long term. 

Low pay and high expectations. Management talks behind employees backs to other management and "favoured" employees.

Pitiful raises if you get any at all. Limited benefits no pension.
Little job security. If you have any complaints about the job the response is "we will find someone else to fill your spot"

Management is very eager to lay blame and point fingers.
No room to move in the company.

Owner feels like he owns every aspect of your life and won't even acknowledge that your in the room with him, even if its just the two of you.

Avoid at all costs. The media makes this place sound like a dream job. When in reality it will be your worst nightmare.

Management was the worst i have ever seen. Rather than working together they just backstab each other. Not only avionics side but i saw them do it in the mechanic side also. Every morning  on the mech side i would hear them say who messed up rather than helping each other to succeed. Everybody had the attitude of i am better than everybody else. If you’re not part of their group they talk bad about you. Very unprofessional felt like a highschool environment. I remember the management and the normal employees thats sucked up to management would just talk bad about people. Avoid this place there are so many other jobs out there. Its pretty bad when HR is the one giving positive reviews on this place. 

The people that work here generally do care a lot or they would have left. Wage reviews are never done on time and alot of good people leave. If you stick it out there is money but very hard to get noticed. Managment is poor and generally no direction. Massive disconnect in the middle of the company to the top. Constantly see things that need to be changed you report them and the company doesn't fix them. More and more lazy people coming in and management wont allow them to be fired but your expected to do the work of 3 people to make up for it.

People are great and for some people it was like a family

Deadlines were always tight and products were sometime late

Can be toxic depending in which department you work in. Most work in silos and was not a group effort always
