The company doesn't follow employment standards when it comes to wages. If you are put on salary, you basically do not get paid your overtime work even though you are entitled to it based on standards. If you approach management about it, they will consider you a problem employee and do whatever it takes to remove you from employment. Managers and supervisors like to make you work long hours without proper compensation. If you are on salary and you work overtime and ask for compensation, they will tell you that the hours do not matter However, if you are under hours, they will treat you like you are the worst employee, unless you are related to or friends with the owners or management. Nepotism is rampant and movement up is a joke because being promoted to a foreman position is no longer based on merit but based on whether you are close to the owners or management. The supervisor that I dealt with is incompetent and clicky. Tends to date people who are reporting to them and creates drama as best as he can.

From unsafe work to the "management" (if you can even call it that, it's closer to a high school clique because if you aren't with the "in" crowd of mid-20 something's to almost 40 year old adults you're gonna get treated like you're worthless) not being clear enough about your tasks/sites, or even putting you in an unsafe scenario that could injure you or a crewmember. Come to Foothills if you want to get talked about behind your back by the school kids that have an issue with you and would rather tell everyone under the sun, than come to you directly. another added bonus is you can also have your pay come in late because payroll can't even do their job right, because their vacation is more important that the lives of their workers! And you'd better not show up early ready to work, because you will also get trouble for that. Fun! 

All in all, if you want a fun summer job, maybe steer clear of the trainwreck that is what is left Foothills Landscaping, and go with a company that respects their employees and pays you what you're actually worth.  

Avoid this job. I got hired on a Monday. Got told I was doing great till that Friday. Friday I was fired. Then they told me they thought I wasn't good enough. If there were any problems they never said anything.  Not to mention how long I had to wait at home to find another job. Really disgusting how they treat people. Generally any job you contact today and they offer you to start tomorrow is a disaster. They have insanely high standards of employees but don't tell you that, you don't know what they want until it's too late. The family are managers and some of them are useless. The older lady couldn't even understand how the computer worked, too many double standards.

As a landscape foreman is not a easy job at all, the responsibilities are sometimes too much specially on dealing with your people. We work outside  whole day, different sites every day and that makes us active. Sometimes its hard when weather goes bad. But I never regret  that I work in landscaping instead I am so thankful because I learned lots of things, things that I never thought I could learn before like operating big machines, be a crew leader and build up my self confidence. And now I am trying to find a different job for a different learnings its not that I don't like landscaping anymore but for  new experience for me. Thank you

Loaded up equipment and checked trucks and equipment upon arriving at the yard, then went to the work sites, did a litter pick and got to doing maintenance. After packing up and heading to the yard, machines were washed and put away. I learned how to operate walk-behind mowers, power brooms and triple-deck ride-on mowers. Lots of culture. Hardest part of the job was shoveling loam for days. Most enjoyable part was working outside with other people who loved their job too.

This kind of work is very unpredictable. Weather is one of the most among many problems. Like Rain, cold, too hot weather, windy and everything. You have to deal with different kinds of situation and problems its day. As a worker you have to cooperate with your co worker for good result, in other words teamwork is very important. But besides of all this things we are still here because of our love for the job. Its my personality, every job I take I  put my heart into it.

The management is unprofessional, and disrespectful. The staff, for the most part are under qualified and there were severe harassment issues that run rampant throughout the company. Honestly surprised the company still exists. Would not recommend seeking employment, nor would I use their services. 

You need to be from the Phillipines to get anywhere in this company. You can instantly be a lead hand, as long as you aren't from Canada and don't know anything about landscaping (Lloyd). Do yourself a favor and find a real job where management has less cowardice. By

I worked there at a time that the company was "Changing its direction" and I didn't go there.  I was let go in January of 2020 because I was no longer the right fit.  I worked full time for one summer and then part-time for a few months.  I have no idea of the company culture now
