I was a logging truck driver for 5 months. In that time they kept me busy enough and I found they were well organized considering logging in itself can be pretty unorganized. When quotas were met there were other opportunities to help stay busy for the rest of the month.  After hearing stories from another trucker who’s been there for years, the management has improved considerably in the past year. Forester doesn’t have the greatest history but I could see they are working hard to change that. I’ve never had a problem receiving pay and if my truck was down, they would accommodate me with another truck or shop work. I moved back to BC but if I go back to Rocky Mountain House, they would be the first place I would ask for employment. 

During my employment I was given a truck that had many issues and Awas verbally herassed by mechanics and senior drivers feel that they don't have to call in areas that are dangerous. And sweat at newer drivers a threaten the new drivers. And supervisors don't care.andcovid was rampant in shop and management didn't tell anyone. So many employees go sick

I am currently working at Forester Logging, the Company is working extremely hard at shifting the culture. With Management changes that have been put in place the field workers are starting to see the culture changes on the front lines. Since I have been here the turn over has been extremely low which is a big change from the past culture. With the new direction I recommend applying for any openings at Forester Logging!!

Fast paced, quality production oriented company. Machines are well taken care of to keep them going and there’s an awesome team work atmosphere in both locations. An overall place to work well, and hard, in an enjoyable atmosphere. I have been working here for 3 years and the turn over have been extremely low for a year now. The new management in place is effective, accommodating and very supportive of its workers. 

Micro management. Poor pay. No shift. Sometimes worked for weeks on end then wouldn't work for a week suddenly. Switching from nights to days with no notice. Owner needs to be involved in every aspect of the company even though he doesn't understand it. Very stressful atmosphere. Lots of rumor spreading from the field to the office. No communication between departments. Everyone just points the blame elsewhere.

This is not a place for a good operator you will have your work cut out for you to remain one working here.If you never had equipment problems and things that have never broken on you in the past come to work here!!!Some of this equipment has been abused by who knows!!!!!They most certainly have had some real characters operating machines here and some still work there!!!

Dont believe everything you read or hear until you experience it for yourself, i am shocked to see some of the negative comments on here. My crew is excellent we look out for each other like a family. I haven't been here too long just 7 months but it sure seems like the Management group is working extremely hard to make this an awesome place to work.

Worst logging outfit I’ve gone to work for, everything is broke down and junk if you think you’re going to be running newer well maintained equipment think again. No management at all, they charge you to stay in the camp, if you think you need to go find out for yourself go ahead but here is your warning

Maintenance on the trucks and management are really bad. Expect to be broke down (no pay 1-2 days a week) . Same with the pay you’re promised. You’ll get shop rate not you’re actual rate about 60%. In my opinion a jump off company. Get you’re experience/training and get out 

No scheduled days off. Low pay. Owner and management micromanage everything. 
Company shut down with no warning. Everyone feared for their jobs. We all sat in camp and weren't allowed to leave cause even management didn't know why we were shut down and when we were going to start back up.
