Format Industries

Most people are temp workers, they like the job but some stay for a very long time over what would be probation period of 6 months. Some people take years to get in. All I see is what a corporation would do use temp workers. But won't hire them. To keep them. So every year they need workers. Not to raintain them as it's cheaper,  less saverence and also hard to unionise if there is like a rotation Of new workers. Mangers and leads know this. I'm sure they are just as frustrated teaching things over and over same problems and less quality work as people are not keeped to have a long term experience, but they have qulity checks all down the manufactureing line so eventually if its missed itll be caught. Some machines break down all the time so production work slows they have a goal of how many they want, If make it the goal then looks bad on you and All work there is all timed. 25 min lunch and one 15 min break. Very fast paced work. No benefits if temp workers. Oh if u get hired by formet it's another 6 months probation even if u temp for 8 to 12 months. Also if Canada's holiday doesn't match USA holiday you won't get the day off. You would get another day off that would match USA. Thanks to ON work law. That allows it. And it's not overtime. Formet Moves a day off. So USA is the customers. Leads and maintenence workers don't like to wait for each other if the machine breaks like leads have card that can make the machine start it again If one leaves to deal with another problem. Maintenence is stuck waiting. And leads don't like standing. As those machines also has a timer for how long leads take to come when called. Nice people all around All good tho. 

I enjoyed my jobs I was trained in, unfortunately supervisor thinks employees are robots just to reach his target, was not understanding that injuries would happen with inexperienced staff, I would push myself to limits and still was not enough, been employed by Agancy he needed to understand if we were injured we are not on any health insurance, I loved working there but Agancy needs health Benifits and this is why the company can not keep people, they also do not recognize talented staff been it takes them too long to employ them directly to the company

One year contract they did want me back after a required layoff. Unfortunately I was doing nights and construction was going on at home which added some stress not sleeping well. Hard physical work for people that like that your mostly on your own after training.the line I was on had 19 stations so one was variety. And nights are cooler in a factory.

If you can take the heat Formet is the best place to work and grow within the company whatever is your Goals are and Formet industry is hiring all skilled tread’s and none skilled workers as long you are honest about yourself .

It’s pretty cool. Like, there’s cool stuff going on and it’s pretty cool to work on that stuff. There’s a cafeteria and that’s pretty cool. What also is pretty cool, is that it’s subsidized and cheaper than most place and that’s super cool.
The people are actually really cool, and that is what makes it really cool.

I had a very positive expierence at formet industries while I was there for my one year assignment. It was very family oriented the plant was very clean up to date, they treated people very well

Everyday we would make truck parts for the frame. The management is great, everyone got along well. I made many friends there that influence my life daily. I liked being in that environment because it was a fast paced job.

it was amazing experience working with them. It gave me good leadership qualities and enhanced me to get the best out of me. I was obliged to work and want to work so  I can prove my self.

•	Supported assembly line crews by troubleshooting assembly line robots and other technologies

Excellent workplace to work for... very clean workplace..everyone are very friendly..the 1st company that I ever learned how to do mig welding..and driving folk truck
