Typical day starts at 4 am. Breakfast, then on the bus at 6am. Start work at 7am. Up there we had all types of equipment. When the chance arises you can learn how to run dozers, packers, graders, all sizes of rock trucks.Best part is the class 5 license that is required. Management are very knowledgeable. Hardest part of job was trying to stay awake for 12 hours. My favourite part is the meals you are fed while in the camps. Incredible!!! You can eat like a king then if you feel like it you can do a workout in the gym.

Handling inbound, outbound, and on-site logistics at the Fort Hills construction Site was an amazing "hands on" experience that taught me how different it is in the field vs. at Head Office, where theory takes a back seat to practical collaboration and getting the job done safely and efficiently.

the management made this job very bad they got the job because of friends and only had there paper for less then years didn t know much did know what materials to have or equitment  or materials get the job done   had  good co - worker the job had high turnaround because management   the work we were doing was easy and  made hard work there

Was green plant as building was still in progress grade work and greasing equipment delivery of tools to work-sites.
Multicultural work crew learned different cultural work ethic
Hardest part of job was extreme temperatures made challenging to keep equipment greased and keep from freezing
Busy fast paced work area

I like working Diversified transportation. I'm very practical person and leaving a very simple life. Staying at the camp is worth and 14 days and 7 days off  a good shift. Traveling and having fun. God is so good to me.

It paid well and the work wasnt too bad, but this was a big project and the current economic situation in Alberta makes it hard for more large projects to start up. If they did I would love to work on one again.

I was employed at Fort Hills from April 2017 until August 2017  I enjoyed the worksite however the camp was not a desirable place to stay. The camp I stayed in was offsite and very antiquated

Busy site lots going tight deadlines fast paced environment tons of employees camp life away from home. Good job to pay the bills. Not much of a life stuck in camp

Bad management from companies, do not recommend at all for any future postings, stay away, go elsewhere,or use to get job experience and then go elsewhere

Is a place not a company. This system is screwed up.
Someone needs to update  your system for these questionnaires so that it actually makes sense. Programming error.
