My experience with this company was disappointing overall.
From the start, onboarding felt poorly organized, with key expectations not clearly communicated in advance. This made getting up to speed more difficult than it needed to be.
In my situation, there were multiple pre-employment requirements that I was responsible for handling personally before starting. While some may be comfortable with this, I found it unexpected and worth clarifying ahead of time.
The role also required the use of my own personal tools, which may not align with everyone’s expectations for rotational work.
Although the schedule is structured as a compressed rotation, I personally did not find the compensation and benefits to reflect the time spent away from home. Similar earnings felt achievable locally without the extended absence.
Day-to-day planning often seemed disconnected from on-site realities, which added unnecessary pressure during execution.
The strongest positive was the people on the ground. The tradespeople were solid to work with, and frontline leadership was generally supportive.
Overall, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this role ask detailed questions in advance about onboarding expectations, personal costs, compensation, and benefits to determine whether it’s the right fit.

senior management consistently disregarded input from field-level leadership, opting to do things their own way, even when it made life harder for everyone. They would stubbornly push forward with decisions, even if it meant running a job into the ground rather than admitting they were wrong. 

Do not bother going above and beyond here, it will not pay off.  Senior management is indifferent to employees and will give as much thought when laying you off as you would give to any ants you might have stepped on while walking.

Employees who went above and beyond to support the company were often discarded without a second thought. Meanwhile, lazy and/or incompetent individuals not only retained their jobs but were also promoted into leadership positions. Their advancement seemed more about telling senior management what they wanted to hear rather than hard work or competence. Not all leaders are lazy or incompetent here but there's quite a few instances where those in leadership are the most mind-bogglingly idiotic people I've ever seen be put in charge in my entire career.  


Absolute Trash of a company. The foremans will set you up for failure, not ordering parts or equipment, then wonder why the job could Foremans and managers are the most incompetent people I have ever met. Most of them are only in thst position because they are freinds or family with someone higher up. Safety is only shop talk during tool board, after thats over its thrown out the window. They could fire all safety personal, put up more posters and employees would get more out of them. In 9 months there I seen at least 15 people leave, staff moral is extremely low due to managers and foremans. For your own safety and sanity dont work for these clowns.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The management and people . Treated me very well and well paid for minimal work. Lots of hours and very lenient with time off.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Early mornings and split shifts took some time to get used to.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Positive  work environment. Some spoiled spuds but mostly team oriented.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Catch shuttle in town sometimes as early as 4:30 am , drive to contractors yard 35 min drive , depending on run , preshift , clean bus, paperwork, get to site fuel and pick up people starting work . Get back to yard after shift change . Do the same for evenings.

Would give a 0 if possible . Management does not return your calls , will lie to your face , changes benefit package then tell you its better ( all they did was take away short term disability which was paid for by the employees).

Cant retain good employees , will also favor friends or family and let them fail drug tests and just move to other sites until they run out of sites to send them to.

Don't take  harassment serious , will say we don't know who is using the phone even though there is only one person in that department.

Will give you a raise then try to guilt you by saying its coming right out of their pockets.

Refuse to supply proper tools that are not on your tool list.

There is no best part. Company is not there to recognize the employees. Company only likes the money no matter who’s life they turn upside down.

The manager and assistant manager that are not concerned on employee status

It is very poor. The company does not recognize a problem they just push it under the carpet 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wake up go get stressed out. Go home return for afternoon for more stress then go home. Do it all again day after day

Working with  others. Great team work.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Most stressful part of working was being isolated from family and home life. Shift work is very hard and stressful on home life.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Safety is the big key to success in any job and that was the moto with FMA.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get our work schedule and go do the work. Supervisors we're always available to help and if any information was needed.

Unfortunately managers shame and blame employees in front of their peers.  Nothing nice is ever said, and most meetings are started with scorn instead of praise.  Negative work culture from top down, except for dispatchers.  Feed back is not welcomed when it comes to making the organization a better more efficient work place.  There is no recognition for doing a good job or going above and beyond of what is expected.  Best to be a quiet sheet and go along to get along.  Work place gossip and confidential information can be overheard from the dispatch office. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great company to work for. Good incentives, safety culture and people.

Sometimes disorganized, Communication, on boarding is sometimes difficult

Really good, they care and everyone buys into it. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Show up, toolbox, then do your paperwork and work. Cleanup at the end of the day

A toxic management environment. Very poorly managed and organized. Inexperienced supervisors and foremen. Fear tactics of losing your job or doing something wrong. Get told to take your time, do it safe, but in reality, it’s the complete opposite. As soon as you get to work you are counting the days to get out of there. Supervisor/ foremen/ managers do not have any loyalty to their employees but expect complete loyalty from you.
