After the contract changed hands, my experience and eagerness to succeed became a key to the training of new employees and helped shape the dynamic of the environment.  Unfortunately, politics was an even bigger factor than it's success.  The management was helpful at first and I believed had the best interest of it's workers at heart.  Everyone in management was either related or in an intimate relationship.  Unless you were in a certain cliché, you were fair game. The supervisors partied with the workers on the weekend and if you weren't in that group, you were nothing.  Most workers at my level were union employees and so they had representative to help with conflict.  I was not.  The company kept me non-union to further their own agenda.  I helped train, cleared up their problem logs and help identify new ways to better the environment. When I became a target of bullies and tormented by certain co-workers (one of whom was in a personal relationship with my supervisor) on a daily basis, I was encouraged to go to HR and complain.  I was then told to 'get counseling.'  Embarrassed, I return to work, focusing on tasks and asked to get information on how to become unionized myself.  When I refused to quit, someone made up a lie, which my managers believed and I was relieved of my duties.  So... at first, this was one of the best places I ever worked...but I realized, after a period of time, they used me for their own gain and threw me away like trash.  I had respect for the management team, but in the end they failed to do right by the people who helped it grow into something more.

Super easy job. All co workers and management were friendly and easy to get along with. That being said some management have no business being in the position they are in. Company promotes drinking buddies over qualified people. Management found on the golf course more than in the office. Dispatch was completely clueless could not tell the difference between feet and inches. Mismanaged routes daily!! 

This is a good in between job til something better comes along. Friendly people and easy work. Don’t have high expectations do not take management seriously and you will be fine. 

Told I was replaceable, got paid less then people that been there less and less responsibility.
Had to tell the management many time to stay away and stop screwing the job up.
As soon as they pushed in, they knew nothing on the job. They thought they did. I hope new management comes in. It needs a overhaul. 
In the first year I had them "miss" hours 17 times in the first year. Just me, let alone others. 

Good pay,good benefits including pension fund,easy to deal with management.Work is very demanding and equally rewarding.Most companies think you are great when you start then find and reveal your flaws as time goes by,while this company monitors you very closely at first and try to correct inadequate practises and behaviour then gradually loosen their grip and appreciate your hard work and dedication 

Worked there for 9 years. Was good at the beginning when the company was smaller. We grew a lot in 2014 when we took over the excel contract. I think the company as potential but I feel the union is a big road block in able to work as a team with the difference in pay scales. 

I have been with fort McKay logistics for almost 3 years I have steady full time work and must say for the most part am happy here every company has it's pros and cons ....tgere are more pros here

They use aboriginals to make it look like they care about the people. A bunch of hypocrites. Maybe at one time it was for status and metis. Not now. This company is a disgrace to the native culture and its true meaning. Shame on you ft mckay! Your company is a joke!

DISPATCH NEEDS TO BE WORKED ON 
TRUCKS ARE NOT THE GREATEST AROUND BUT WELL MAINTAINED BY A GREAT MAINTENANCE STAFF

High energy,  great crew, great schedule, reliable team mates, informed staff and management, salary was great, had a crew shuttle for transportation to and from work site

id go back there if i could. its a great place to work. most of the management have been truckers so they know how the job works.

great group on the whole in for mcmurray anyway. not sure about edmonton.
