As a former employee of this branch, I feel compelled to warn anyone considering working here or doing business with this location. The branch manager was, without a doubt, the most incompetent leader I have ever encountered in my career.

From day one, it was clear that they lacked the basic skills required to manage a team. They had no clear direction or vision, leaving staff constantly confused about priorities and tasks. The manager’s communication was disjointed and, at times, completely absent. When issues arose (which was often), instead of providing support or guidance, they would avoid taking responsibility and pass the blame onto employees. This created a toxic environment where employees were left to fend for themselves with no leadership to rely on.

The manager’s inability to effectively solve problems and make decisions led to constant operational issues, resulting in frustrated customers and high employee turnover. They rarely took initiative to improve the branch’s performance or staff morale, and instead of addressing concerns, they often turned a blind eye. The work environment became so discouraging that I ultimately felt my only option was to leave.

It’s clear that this branch manager is underqualified and lacks the necessary skills to lead a team or run a successful branch. I wouldn’t recommend working here or doing business with this location as long as this individual remains in charge. It’s a dysfunctional, poorly managed place, and it’s a shame that such poor leadership is allowed to continue.


I can’t speak for the drywall division, but as for the tool and supply division the job was absolutely miserable. They hired me knowing I had no experience and expected me to become an expert on all tools, fasteners etc on my own. I learned a good bit on my own, but was discouraged from asking questions and was expected to know every detail about every type of tool or screw you could possibly imagine. Newsflash, if you want someone of that knowledge level, don’t hire someone who is completely new to the industry!! With no warnings or communication on how I was doing, I was randomly let go one day. I now work at another company doing similar things and they have been incredibly helpful, my knowledge is immense and I’m not made to feel incompetent. This is a high pressure job because they NEED to squeeze every dollar out of every customer they have. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, I felt slimy and scammy on a daily basis. There’s a constant feel of walking on eggshells both with customers, and with management. I was even shamed for taking bathroom breaks throughly my shift, those of which were not in excess. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Unless you want to go home despising your life every day. 

As the title says, they start work at 6am. You never really know when you will finish work. It could be 4-6 hours if there's barely any work that day, or 10-12 hours if they're busy. They don't really think of spreading the jobs out throughout the week, so you're at least guaranteed 8 hours every day. If you get paired with a good driver, it's definitely a good experience and the day goes great. However, they pretty much try to pair you with every driver at the start and see who you bond well with/have chemistry with. I'm pretty sure the drivers have the final say on who they want to regularly work with, so make sure to become good friends with the driver(s) you like and pray to god they keep pairing you with him. 

Typical workday starts off as getting told to do unsafe work, and if you don’t like it you can always go home and there’s a lineup of people willing to do my job. I’ve learned that it is what it is and every job is a piece of cake. Management is micromanaged. The hardest part of the job is being at the shop getting the dirty looks from management cause you’ve already worked 11 hours and they expect you to go out and do another run. Honestly the most enjoyable part of the job is to talk about all the flaws this company has, payday and punching out. Toxic work environment. 

This is a great place to work at.It has lots of opportunities and learning opportunities. The management is friendly and fair. They also take care of their employees have great benefits. All in all if you are looking for a career this is a very good place to start. There is so many opportunities in this company all the way from the warehouse team to the delivery team to the management team to sales team. This is one of the rare companies that you'd be able to start there and retire. And promotions are everywhere... Thank you for the time that I was there.

Management is garbage, doesn't care about you as a person, only how much you can deliver. Will promise a raise and then make you fight tooth and nail for 6 months before you actually get it. Backstabbing/talking behind everyones back everywhere in the company, most of the guys are good but there's some really bad apples that make everything. The office managers couldn't care a bit about the warehouse workers or the guys who make the actual deliveries. 

start work for grave yard shift line up trucks for loading, load trucks with first outs, then proceed to pick and pack orders for second outs, restock warehouse, management not happy unless they can find something to complain about an that runs all the way from upper management down to dispatch and truck drivers this is an every day thing

-Long day lifting heavy drywall, loading and unloading trucks as well as strapping the loads and unloading logs during the day.
-Hardest part is the basement jobs passing through a hole or carrying down stairs/up stairs.
-I enjoyed the long drives and views there a lot as ur high up in buildings most the time.
-Learned a lot about height safety and maneuvering 

Typical day consisted of putting building material orders together and staging for the next day to load the trucks. Unload materials as it comes and put away. I learned a little more about building materials. Management listened to concerns and was reactive in dealing with problems that arose from the warehouse staff. Culture was ok for the most part.

Terrible work life balance, some of the things you’re expected to do on this job are so ridiculous and unsafe. Customers don’t care about you, just deliver their drywall. Management is spiteful and immature. Helpers are paid scum wages for what they have to endure on the day to day. Do yourself a favour stay far away from FBM
