As the Technical Manager at FoxCanada, I’ve had a very positive experience with the company.

A typical day at work: My days are well-structured yet dynamic, with a mix of technical problem-solving, supporting the team, and collaborating with other departments to keep projects moving smoothly.

What I learned: I’ve gained valuable experience in leadership, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration, as well as deepening my technical expertise in our industry.

Management: The management team is supportive and approachable. They are open to new ideas and encourage innovation while ensuring clear expectations are set.

Workplace culture: The culture here is professional, collaborative, and growth-oriented. People genuinely care about their work and are willing to help each other succeed.

The hardest part of the job: Balancing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines can be challenging, but it has helped me develop stronger organizational and time-management skills.

The most enjoyable part of the job: Working alongside a dedicated, talented team and seeing projects successfully delivered is incredibly rewarding.

Overall, FoxCanada is an excellent company to work for, with great opportunities for professional growth and a supportive work environment.

If you’re looking for a good company to work with and feel wanted, feel respected and have some sort of job security - don’t apply for this egotistical ownership. You won’t find any of the above at Fox. You’ll get fired before your 90th day and the only thing you’ll gain is anxiety. It’s odd on how this company is in business. They should be so much more we’ll know for customer experience and known in that industry but they have a bad rep for being strict micromanaging egotistical ownership. All they know is how to be micromanaging bullies. Fox had a phenomenal GM and Sales Manager who were awesome, caring and fun people who tried to change the toxic environment to a warm and enjoyable environment but the ego of the youngest family member who is an Sales Account Manager couldn’t handle people being better people and they ran that GM and Sales Manager out before the 90 day probation period was up too. They won’t find better people then that GM and Sales Manager. 

Look elsewhere and save yourself the hassle of daily curiosity if you have your job every morning. 

Working at FoxCanada was a horrible experience. The management’s micromanagement created a stressful environment, with constant oversight on even the smallest tasks. Mistakes were met with harsh criticism rather than constructive feedback. It felt like the focus was solely on business outcomes, with little regard for employee well-being. I observed a high turnover rate; it seemed that few could endure the environment, and those who stayed often felt pressured to leave. The family that owns the company appeared to prioritize their own interests, leading to perceptions of nepotism and favoritism. This dynamic contributed to a toxic workplace culture, as I’ve heard multiple stories from colleagues about interactions with the CEO’s daughter and previous employees not ending too well.
Overall, Don’t work here,  they don’t care about you & it’ll suck you dry. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working alongside people who are knowledgeable and willing to help made the day-to-day work more enjoyable. AND Working for a company that values its employees and recognizes their contributions - there is a great deal of this happening everyday at Fox.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working under tight deadlines could be challenging at times, but the team support made it manageable and a great learning experience.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is fast-paced but motivating. It encourages problem-solving, adaptability, and working together as a team.  Management is clearly supportive and genuinely invested in helping everyone succeed, which is great to see in a private company.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Arrive to work and shortly after the entire operations team meets for a daily toolbox talk.  Everyone then begins their workday.

There is a great Team atmosphere at fox.  Sometimes during the slower parts of the year it can hard to keep busy, but the owners do their best to keep you busy with stock orders or training.
As a designer and CNC tech it was nice to get involved in working with the lead designer on sign ideas.  As a part of the Sign Department it's neat to see your work out in public spaces. 
Safety is very important to the owners, when an issue is brought up it's dealt with quickly. 
The owners care about the business and work hard to make it a success so to keep the employees busy, they are always looking to expand product lines and are open to suggestions from employees.

The team at this company is very professional, and everyone works well together. It is a busy environment with a lot to do, but that keeps things interesting. Ownership works hard to make sure employees are supported and have what they need to succeed. Overall, it’s a great place to learn, grow, and be part of a strong team.  I have also experienced a very good work life balance, time off request were always approved and the company generally cares about everyone here.  

The company places a strong emphasis on product performance and revenue, but employee effort and contributions are often overlooked. Expectations are high, yet recognition, support, and appreciation for employees are limited. This can lead to low morale and a feeling of being undervalued. A more balanced focus on both results and employee well-being would improve the overall work environment.

I can’t think of anything good working here. 

This job satisfies all of my needs when it comes to my expectations of an employer. Management is flexible with time off requests and I feel valued as a team member. There is opportunity for overtime particularly during the busier season which is nice. It can slow down in the off months but it doesn't affect our hours. 

FoxCanada is a great place to work! There are always lots of fun and exciting things happening from new product lines to explore to challenging customer requests. Management has always been very supportive and helpful. There are days that are extremely busy and days that are relaxed, a great mix.  The team is amazing on all levels, we get to have fun while we work. 

The employee turnover says enough, but the upper management was just bad. They gave us ONE paid sick day for the YEAR.  If there was an issue, it didn't matter to them even though they said we could talk to them about stuff. The CEO was also HR, which isn't a good combo. No opportunity for advancement or raises, atleast when I was there, and I worked there for 2 years.
