The management does not care about the well being of their staff, I started minimum wage and when I asked for a raise they gave me a 25 cent raise. I had unmotivated coworkers who did not care about working there. The work experience itself, stressful. The customers love to complain over everything under the sun just to get free stuff since they know they can get away with it, due to the poor management staff. I was incredibly happy to leave and never look back. When I was leaving said job they offered to keep me on, due to how desperate they are to hold onto staff members since nobody wants to work here. Go figure.

I would help set up displays, stock shelves, face up shelves. I would find stock in warehouse to replenish shelves. On occasion i would transport merchandise from a second location to the store. When the receiver was on break,lunch or off for the day i would also receive incoming stock. I also worked with inventory and placing orders.

When i worked nights i was a supervisor and work with the night shift stocking shelves, receiving and general duties. I was also responsible for securing the store ie. alarms and locking the store.

Lacking in every domain. Terrible management, lack of respect from higher ups. No advancements, no pay, no benefits, don’t pay overtime. Run the good workers to the ground and disposes of them let’s the slackers and no shows do as they please with out consequences. Once you complain or say something you are red listed and disrespected. If your a student and want flexibility and just collect money this is for you.

Whilst the people I worked alongside with in the position I was in were very kind and accommodating, the store was severely understaffed, sometimes only having two workers on cash, this wasn’t always bad as the store usually isn’t that busy. However on busy days customers would get impatient and yell at us if we took to long, this wouldn’t have been an issue if the store was properly staffed.

The management here for the front end is phenomenal and helpful, coworkers were all super nice and easy to work with, and the schedule was amazing, very easy to get shifts and time off. However there is not much room for advancement, pays minimum wage with no visible raise in sight, and does not have any benefits. Great job for a student.

Honestly, the management at this store is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. They consistently take the side of the customer and never have their employees backs, even in situations where they are in the wrong. There is no opportunity for advancement, you will start at minimum wage, and you will end at minimum wage. Do yourself a favour, work anywhere else.

There is a serious attempt to keep up with competition but with lack of funds mistreatment from management and a shortage of workers willing to deal with little pay and a high workload it just doesnt leave a great feeling going to work here.

Work there for almost 2 years and enjoyed my time a lot, re stocking shelves and helping coustmers is mainly what the job entails.

A typical day was handling and counting cash as a head cashier. Dealing with ringing customers in. Opening and closing responsibilities. Fun co workers & a great environment to work in.

I worked at Fredericton Co-op for quite a few years. It was very enjoyable and fast paced at times. I was there from 1994 to 2006 and then again from Dec 2008 to Aug 2009.
