A typical work day for me would consist of getting to work and establishing what department needed to most work done. As being  trained and skill in almost every department, I was often times working on different projects on a daily basis.
Aside from working in the Customer Service Industry all of my life, Freedom mobile allowed me to use my skills in Marketing directly and master major skills with using the computer on a daily basis.
In my almost three years of working there, I have experienced many different managerial types and personalities. Freedom Mobile had a very complex team of management staff that created a great spectrum for available assistance. There was always the perfect manager to approach based on different issues that arose.
The hardest part of the job would have to have been adjusting to each different department when requested to assist in each one. Although I was thoroughly trained in all called upon departments, it was sometimes challenging to adjust to each one when asked to assist after focusing on a different one for a previous length of time 
On the contrary after the minor adjustment time from one department to another, the most enjoyable part were my coworkers and management team. This is simply because you could always count on there support and assistance when you reached out to them. Also upper management would often times create themed days and events to help boost morale. Also the benefit packages that the company offered were very substantial and appreciative.

Working as a Sales Manager at Freedom Mobile in Toronto has been a highly rewarding and growth-oriented experience. The role offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment where customer engagement, team leadership, and performance management come together.

One of the most positive aspects of working at Freedom Mobile is the supportive and energetic team culture. The company encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, which helps employees stay motivated and aligned with business goals. As a Sales Manager, I had the opportunity to mentor team members, improve their sales techniques, and drive overall store performance.

The Toronto market is competitive, which makes the role both challenging and exciting. Meeting sales targets requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing customer needs. Freedom Mobile provides the necessary tools, training, and incentives to help managers and their teams succeed.

Additionally, the company promotes internal growth and recognizes hard work, which is very encouraging for career development. While the job can be demanding at times, especially during peak sales periods, the experience gained in leadership, problem-solving, and customer service is invaluable.

Overall, my experience as a Sales Manager at Freedom Mobile in Toronto has been positive, offering both professional development and a strong sense of accomplishment.

I have learned several different sales techniques to surpass most of the customers hesitations. I typical day is 10 hours in length working alone requires you to open and close the store making sure the money is dealt with properly and efficiently. No more than 25 customers coming into the store per day. Half of them are coming in just to pay their cell phone bill and another 8 customers have a random question about their phone. The last 4 are looking for a phone. Those 4 left over are the possible sales you are look for. To make our target you must get ALL 4 which is very difficult but you cannot change the cards you're dealt. These customers are looking for reassurance that they have made the right choice and the only way you can do that is by learning more about the individual through lifestyle questions. Showing them you care about them and not just the sale allows them to trust you and what you are saying. There are usually 3 rushes throughout the day that hold 90% of your customers.
Be alone makes the challenge of keeping every customer in your store happy top priority. The job is stressful but the staff is awesome, the bosses set unrealistic goals which makes the pay very minimal.

Freedom mobile is a great place to start employment if you just came to Canada or are student in University/ College. Really good potential to make money as it is minimum wage plus commissions. And commissions can be more than your hourly wage depending on the store location and your skills. In short if the store is in a heavy traffic area like malls, there is good potential for high commissions as opposed to street front stores. 

They also give really good benefit package even for part time workers which is great. It covers dental, vision, drugs and massage/physio. 

Managers are also really kind. They actually care about the employees and always push for their success. 

Looks like the perfect job, right? Yes there are a few downsides. One is you have to stand for 8 hours(if that is your scheduled hour) even if there are no customers. 
Secondly, there is almost no chance of growth in terms of career within the company. Most employees usually make money and once they finished school or something, they leave for another job.

But I would still recommend this job to almost anyone who is getting started and I'm certain they will enjoy their stay at Freedom. 

Worked with a dealer of Freedom Mobile. The training isn't satisfactory as a result of which employees make mistakes and then are unjustly penalized for it. Attitudes of management are sometimes very derogatory not to mention unhelpful. Inexperienced or uneducated people are hired as managers on the discretion of the owner who is not so educated himself, and thus the business is not being run properly and employees harbour a lot of dissatisfaction.Pay is the bare minimum whereas other mobile company dealers pay competitive wages. Another con is that employees' efforts are not recognized whereas those managers are praised even if they are inefficient. Customer base is also pretty dissatisfied as a result of which the employees have to deal with their unpleasantness. Scheduling of shifts is done on ad hoc basis due to which its difficult for people to juggle their other responsibilities.

Working at Freedom Mobile has been a solid experience overall, especially for anyone starting out in customer service or looking to build communication and problem-solving skills. The company gives employees plenty of opportunities to learn, whether it’s understanding different phone plans, troubleshooting technical issues, or helping customers adjust their accounts. The environment is fast-paced, but it teaches you how to stay calm under pressure and handle a variety of situations with confidence. Management support can vary by location, but most supervisors try to guide you and help you improve. The team atmosphere is generally supportive, with coworkers willing to assist when things get busy. One of the most valuable parts of the job is developing strong customer interaction skills and becoming more comfortable explaining technical information clearly. Freedom Mobile isn’t perfect, but it’s a good place to grow professionally, gain hands-on experience, and build a strong foundation in customer service.

I worked in the call centre. The management was amazing, I started to get board and asked for more work. Not only did they give me more work but it was different, stimulating, Training me, and allowing me to see how the hiring process works, management works, The work I was trained out near the end I was able to see how my fellow employees where met. I would think if the place was still open I would be in management, or moved to Shaw. I absolutely loved this place. Very kind people, fun work environment, I enjoyed coming to work every single day. I have NO issue coming in for OT when needed because I knew they would take care of me. This place never did me wrong. The hardest part of my day was being a Team Lead and having to report my fellow employees as we all get so close we became a family. 
The most enjoyable part of the job was the people, Everyone from Upper Management to the people who fill our vending machines all amazing people.

My time with the company has been nothing short of amazing. However, if you're a go-getter, your work and home life balance will not balance out. There are always some aspects you will take home with you. Overall, it is a fantastic experience and a great stepping stone on the road to something bigger. I've got a large family and unfortunately, I've had to put in some serious hours to clear enough to make it in the city I live in. It greatly helped though when it came time to get commission payouts. But that depends on you. How hard you're willing to work to deliver top tier service to EVERY customer that walks into your store. As long as you're honest with them and show your human side, you'll sell well and that earns you great money.

This job is as okay if you don't mind working for the bare minimum. The hardest part is that we are expected to help 3-4 or more customers at a time, making it difficult to give satisfactory customer service in all interactions. It's also difficult to feel valued when higher ups only care about the bottom line and how the brand appears, rather than how it functions as a whole, and employee happiness. As the job is an essential service, it's open 365 days a year so schedule can be unoptimal and may cause days off to be during the week, such as wed/Thurs off.

Best part of the job is the people I work with and direct supervisor, but upper management is completely out of touch with Frontline agents/customer needs. 

High turnover rate.

Benefits are pretty good, pay is decent comparatively, but hard to swallow with the expectations from higher ups.

I generally at my store at 9:30am and start with cash and inventory count and set up the system for daily operations. as the customers come I keep assisting them according to their need. they come for various enquiries such as new activations, hardware upgrade, bill payments, transfer of responsibility, technical assistance, and many more. at the end of the day I finally update the daily activation file, review the inventory and order if something needed.

I learnt to handle different kinds of people and manage store efficiently.

the most stressful part of the job is when there is a que of 7 to 8 customers and i am working alone so it becomes a little tricky to give everyone same attention.
