First of all let me say that I have one of the most wonderful managers to work for.  I really don't want to leave my job there, but it is a very physically demanding position that I'm in.  You wouldn't think so, as I'm a cashier and customer service representative, but the constant repetition, and heavy lifting is taking its toll slowly on me and I still have quite a few years of work in me.  The people are going to be the hardest things to leave behind, whether they are coworkers or customers, it makes no difference.  I enjoy seeing the same faces everyday and getting to know people personally.  I feel accomplished when I can help people with their shopping experience, help them find something they're are looking for, or just smile and greet them.

As much as it was a great place to start for a job and learning a wide variety of different skills in different departments, very little respect is really given. If you do what you're asked and even go to different departments, the moment you want out or state an opinion, they don't really care. All stores are different but management doesn't really care for their workers. Weird hours and no raises unless they want you to do something

a typical day was to run 6 areas of customer service this included the tobacco room, lottery sales, issuing fishing and hunting licenses,
doing Western union transactions, selling black hawk gift and phone cards,Canada Post Office sales like sending and receiving parcels for customers, Entering daily parcels for pick up. Handling and directing complaints, and selling merchandise.

Excellent training skills and great supervisors that offer positive reinforcement, patience and positive reinforcement. Freson Brothers offered an opportunity for advancement to enable growth as well as greater experience gained, viewing me as an asset to the company.

I loved working with the people at the IGA in my life and I will apply to work there again .I loved the fast paced food industry and I will remember to apply there again I cooked chicken for them and sliced meat for them . I cleaned the kitchen and put the food on sale. I will always remember my job there fondly 

I truly love working here. The management is awesome! They actually care about you as a person. The owners are very down to earth and even got us Christmas presents. 
I highly recommend working here. Fellow staff are great. It's like having a big family.

Great people, great management, fun workplace and very flexible hours. Always work to be done. You learn a lot about retail and you would find the most enjoyable part of the job is the people you work with.

It was nice working as a cashier but sometimes tiring because other coleague dont work well, they just left the counter without informing you and just go anywhere. You left alone with customers line up!
