Lots of mandatory Saturdays and the odd but rare Sundays. Pay is good for the easy work that is performed, task difficulty depends on department. Instructions for said tasks are written in books with pictures that were taken with a potato. As such, it can be confusing at times. 

Workforce is odd, managers (not all) play favorites with certain workers to cover them. With that said some workers play the system to get others fired. Heard a few stories of good people getting or about to be let go and at the same time those workers just laugh because it was basically planned. Sad considering people have families to feed. Very toxic, high-school mentality. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
My employer treats all associates very fairly and encourages learning to improve career. Very understanding family orientated company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is mandatory Saturdays for production for all but 1 week / month which is voluntary. There are methods to book time off which is helpful.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is quiet and yet busy. Lots of detail orientated processes and some that are easy and quick, there is lots of variety.  Overall not as busy as some automotive manufacturers but always work to be had.

I worked for Freudenberg for over 20 years and oh how things have changed.  My interview process doesn't exist anymore, now they have multiple stages, reference and background checking.
Overall, this is a great place to work.  It's clean, the work is not difficult and the pay and benefits are great!  Most of the managers are great and very approachable.  Lots of opportunities to develop and advance within the organization, hire from within whenever possible.
I left for personal reasons that have little impact to my overall view of the organization

F-NOK has great people working for them that are local in the Tillsonburg area. Benefits are fantastic, and salary is competitive. Managers all have a great open Door policy. You have an 1hour lunch break and it is Great to have your own time. The products are great and very Hand labour intensive! Great Learning experience on Green Belt, 6 SIGMA, Black Belt, and Kiazen Events. Continuous Improvement in really big there.

During the day at Eagle Burgmann, I inspected a variety of parts for many different pieces of equipment. I would receive and check quantities and input into the computer, this would lead to me liaising with engineers/project managers and venfdors.
Whilst at Eagle Burgmann, I developed my skills and knowledge as an Inspector, which helped me to understand the product.
It was a well run company which had the workers at the forefront. My co-workers were very supportive as I had just moved to Canada from the UK.

Very stressful place to work,  definitely favourtism, management is horrible, no communication, policies mean nothing everyone does whatever they want to with no consequences.  Work 6 days a week with no family life and they don't really care.  One of the worst factories I have every worked in. The only good thing is most of the people are really genuine and care about each other.  Going to miss the people I enjoyed working with.

* Team and division managers were supportive and bit understanding
* The whole HR department replaced old personnel and the new personnel are quite unsupportive, arrogant and very lazy to work with. They keep lack basic communication skills along with attitude to not perform their basic duties.

Best boss I've ever had, never had issues with them. Floor normally ran well only issue is they take sinority very seriously. Large mistakes made by high sinority people never get taken seriously while low sinority people would be held accountable. I never dealt with this but saw it on the production floor constantly.

Participated in an internship as part of my college degree. A great deal was learned with plenty of hands on experience being given. As time went on more responsibility was given and eventually management of staff was given as well as projects were given. Co-workers were friendly and helpful at all times. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to see a product going from prototype to production.

Spent 8 + years, helped start Canadian operations, immigration functions, legal HR, all administration.


Responsible for all accounting and administrative functions for the Canadian operations.  Included accounting, HR, Legal, IT.

The typical work day including communications with all departments both internally and worldwide on matters concerning the Canadian, Americas and world wide.
