Working at Funvilla seemed like a dream job for anyone who loves interacting with people and enjoys a lively, engaging environment. The role itself was enjoyable, and I was enthusiastic about contributing to the energy and fun that defines the place. The owners were pleasant and seemed fair, though they were seldom on-site to see the daily operations firsthand.

However, my overall experience was severely compromised by the toxic supervision. The individual tasked with supervising the team lacked the basic qualities needed for effective leadership. They displayed little to no customer service skills and treated employees with an alarming lack of respect and professionalism. Rather than fostering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, this person acted as though they owned the business, frequently talking down to employees and making them feel like mere subordinates rather than valued team members.

Their attitude extended beyond just the staff; customers also felt the impact of their poor behavior. The supervisor’s approach created a toxic environment that was especially unbearable on weekends when the workload increased. Instead of managing stress constructively, the supervisor resorted to yelling at colleagues in front of customers, creating an unprofessional and uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone involved. This not only led to a significant increase in customer complaints but also deepened the dissatisfaction among staff members.

What made matters worse was the supervisor's tendency to let personal grievances influence their professional conduct. If they disliked someone, they would fabricate accusations and isolate that individual, effectively ostracizing them from the rest of the team. This petty and vindictive behavior created a hostile work environment where employees felt demoralized, anxious, and unsupported. It’s disheartening when a job you once loved begins to take a toll on your mental health, and that's exactly what happened to me. The stress and negativity became overwhelming, making it difficult to stay motivated or feel a sense of belonging.

A workplace should be a space where fairness, inclusivity, and mutual respect are prioritized. Unfortunately, the toxic supervision at Funvilla completely undermined these values. It’s clear that the business has so much potential, but it’s being stifled by ineffective and damaging leadership. 

I genuinely hope that Funvilla takes these concerns seriously and considers restructuring their management to bring in individuals who can lead with integrity, empathy, and professionalism. With the right changes, Funvilla could be an outstanding place to work, where employees feel valued and supported. Despite the difficulties, I’m grateful for the experience and truly wish the best for Funvilla’s future.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I love working for Funvilla. I have worked for Funvilla for 4 years. The people that work here, some of my greatest friendships all began here at Funvilla . Funvilla hires good, intelligent people from all types of different backgrounds. Every day you can learn something new from someone.
Also a great employer understands that you have other things to take care of outside of work. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The only stressful thing if you're not used to it is the fast paced environment during the holidays. From Thanksgiving through New Years it is pretty insane.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fun, Challenging, Friendly, Collaborative, Flexible and Supportive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I make sure that everyone knows the plans for the day. I do one or two checks during the day just to see how things are going. usually check to see that things are put away at the end of the day and everything is secure.

Working at Funvilla London has been a good experience for someone interested in working with children in the future.The management is really good. No complaints about them at all. All managers are respectful of workers and they always change your shifts if they're able to. They also have good personalities and interact with the employees well. Speaking of, the employees all seem good as well. Some seem to lack an interest in the job, but it doesn't really impact their performance. Everyone appears to be on good terms with one another.

The job itself is fairly easy. Tasks include taking admission, serving up food at the cafe, cleaning, and walking around to watch the kids. There's enough things to do that the job isn't boring, but you don't have to be skilled at time-management and always on your toes even on busy days.

Overall, good experience and I recommend. It's not an amazing job with many benefits, but it's good for anyone looking for a nice, steady income and comes with a great workplace environment.

I love working at Funvilla. It is a great place for beginners as there is a lot of opportunities to learn. The management is very supportive and appreciative of your work. The company is in its early stages and hence there are lots of opportunities to grow here. The management is also very observant and rewards hard-workers and those who take initiatives. I know at least 3 people who got a raise and promotion within 2-3 months of their joining as they are working hard. The company is also very flexible with work hours and lets you work the shift that is convenient to you.

The management was the first thing I noticed when working there. My manager constantly made snarky remarks about smiling and being more friendly to customers, this was about 2 days in. I was always kind and conscious of my actions around customers. On a separate occasion, he noticed a coworker and I getting along, and decided to put on on complete opposite schedules. He does not like to see people getting along and does this when they do. He preaches having a relationship with fellow co-workers but contradicts this. He is ill fit for the job and makes it a difficult place to work.

Don't apply here if you are looking for money, every employee is paid at a different rate, for doing the same job, but not every employee does their required job. So there is workers doing ten time as much work and picking up the slack from the clock suckers, possibly getting paid the same or less then other coworkers. 
Clock suckers. Most staff, excluding a handful of individuals are clock suckers. They do the minimum amount of work possible. 
Don't apply to Funvilla, its a very double standard place, the management isnt the best,

I have worked at multiple organizations during last 25 years and this includes some blue chips as well but the learning I have had during my last year at Funvilla Kitchener has been above and beyond. Management has been very supportive, accommodative and understanding. They give you opportunity to learn and grow and there is no doubt that they give you respect in all terms. Humanity is what I would say they have. Amazing work culture with anyone from any background.

If you’re a student looking to work a weekend gig for minimum wage 8-10 hours Saturday and Sunday Funvilla is good enough at that , what it’s not good for is literally everything else... management here rewards bad employees with a lighter work load and leaving the rest of the workers to pick up the slack, essentially doing someone else’s job for the same pay if not less ( favourites are common) 
The time I worked here was the lowest an employer has ever made me feel I do not recommend

honestly this job was the worst thing that ever happened to me, most employees were great and did the absolute best with what they had but management showed a complete lack of understanding for any safety procedures or standards of cleanliness. the kitchen equipment was almost never cleaned, at one point a manger forced employees not to clean the fryer oil for almost 2 and a half months

Company that crushes your values. BEWARE.. job was nothing like what I was sold on to begin with, “Flexible hours, Great place to work” .-. JUST A BUNCH OF FLUFF. Employees are treated terribly, it all depends on the “mood” of managers if we have a good happy day or a ruined worst day! Absolutely no work -life balance! YOU WILL HATE YOUR LIFE!!!! The worst place to work! Major politics, hard to get  A N Y T H I N G done! Whatever you do, never work here ..
