G&J Parking Lot Maintenance

I worked there for three years. They promoted me to a supervisor and shortly afterwords the superintendent/bidder ran out of work. He provided me with a staff that was horrible. With an inexperienced and short staff I built the road for him while I had to run all of the equipment. At the end of the job he fired me. The fact is I gave that company all I had for three years. Everyone involved said it was unfair.

work is great here they well have tailgate meetings to ensure everyone is on the same page and that they are doing what they are suppose to do in a timely and safety manner.

Most organized company I’ve ever worked for. Come in, get your daily tasks, and head out. Very “clicky” and hard to get in with a crew as a new comer. Enjoyed it when I was working alone, plowing snow or street sweeping, but not much for working their crews.

Here if you do more than just show up they reward you with opportunity. If you come in expecting to be everything and a bag of chips they are like everyone else.

Management who organizes shifts and staffing is not as organized as it should be to ensure adequate hours - otherwise fantastic.  Nice people great environment great owner

G&J did a good job at hiring people you can work with, gain friendships. Gained a lot of work experience. typical day would be showing up to shop on time, prep work trucks for the day, and get work orders from foreman/supervisors.

Parking lot, maintenance/snow removal. This is seasonal position. It is a good company to work for. Company has been business for 50 years. Jobs are seasonal.

The employees however seem threatened by any newcomer to the company and work against you if they feel you become a threat to them and drag your name down.

this is a good company if you can get full time. and hopefully it snows the guys are great. to get full time at G&J is hard to get

A great place to work and great employees , just need more work in my line. Would stay forever if i could . Is a nice relaxed productive safe company
